Afternoon all
One load of washing dried on the line. It's sunny at times but a cool wind. Took the dog over to the common and went in the woods, the bluebells are all out
Made some walnut slice things (I don't like nuts so I don't know what they're like but they look OK).
Got some slug stuff to put round my plants in the garden, safe ones for animals, and that's done.
Generally pottering otherwise.
Oh, Copper is beautiful0 -
I'm still washing stuff..... had to split the towel load into two as it was too heavy for the machine  Only 2 more to go now once these are done then I'm going to start on the summer stuff under the bed like the quilts etc
Will also dig out the suncream while I'm under there. The plan is to start putting some of the winter things away, like thick coats etc
The budget is slower going. trying to work out how to maximise my payments to the debts and what order I should pay them off in, first of all I should really add them up
Now for my list as it currently stands... including ANOTHER COMPLETED LIST
Personal (including extras)
- HHR/S (thats Half hour reading/studying)
- Ebay listings
- Spend some time working on word problems with DD (She's asked for help with it so I grabbed some from Primary Resources... I love that website
)
- Shredding... I must make some headway on this.. I feel the need to set up the shredder and do 15 things at a time everytime I pass it....
This will also count as my 15 mins filing won't it?
- Try to sort out new budget now the new financial year is here (remembering £2.50 a week for afterschool club to be added to "savings" )
- Clean cutlery drawer
- HHI - Will do this tonight when all the washing is done
- Charity bag dance
- Wash soft furnishings (will have to wait until the washing itself is done, clothing/bedding is more important!)
- Wipe over all the paintwork
- Tax credits annual declaration. (only arrived Saturday in the post
)

I'm not normally this feeble, but the problem is the people with the time to do these things are the retired golf captains et.c. whereas with a full time job, 2 small sprogs and being a governor at our primary school, I don't.
That does sound wet, even as I read it back...
I see your point... I still haven't written up my committee minutes from the last governors' finance meeting and I don't have any sprogs! Maybe just find out when the parish council meetings are and (assuming they aren't while you're at work ) see if you can find a few like-minded people to go along and [STRIKE]heckle [/STRIKE]make sensible suggestions about what they SHOULD be concentrating on (e.g. making more allotments available, banning plastic bags, dealing with the lack of social housing, improving recycling facilities, setting up a community composting scheme...) I'm sure soappie can come up with some suggestions!
I've now managed to get the cupboard doors on in the utility room, and fit the wire basket in one of the base units. I have one cupboard door I need to take back to ik*a and swap (hinges are in the wrong place ), plus I need a shelf for the end unit and some door handles, and then I'm all done bar the wall tiles and painting, which probably won't get done for another couple of years
So I'm continuing with the putting away/rearranging instead of getting on with the important things on my list0 -
I went to asda
And now my back hurts :rotfl: Also, I only got 8 burgers which might not be enough for all the folk coming tomorrow. Ah well, sod em.
Off to unpack then start the kitchen.0 -

Grateful and Greenbee
Loving the 'how townies can't cope with the country' posts...but sheesh - some people - !!!!!! they complain about cocks crowing and stuff...they want the streetlights cos it's too dark for 'em LOL
- attititudes like this-
- apparently some idiot complained to a travel company because 'No one told us there'd be FISH in the sea. The children were startled' (was on the Now Show...)
They move to the country expecting town attitudes to be accepted
ETA is 'esconced' a proper word? I can't find it in either of my two dictionaries... (I thought it might be esconsced)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -

Flying visit - thanks for your best wishes vibes for my dad. If i'd posted half an hour a go and have been saying it had all gone well. However, he's just phoned me and when they took the patch off his eye (he's at home now) his eyes are both seeing different things so he's seeing two of everything. I'm hoping it's a temporary thing and his brain just needs to re-adjust but i'm on standby to get him back to the hospital. So, although it's cheeky could I have some more 'it's all ok vibes'. Much appreciated.
Hugs to all xxxxx0
