Do you know it was actually fine last night. Got a monitor at home with instructions to call either the GP or the hospital if it goes up over a certain level for so long.

    Afternoon all!

2 loads washing blowing on line.
Bag of unwanted clothes taken to HtA; 2 books taken to Oxfam (because they are better geared up to selling the type of books these were - they have a proper alphabetised fiction section and everything...mind you they don't half charge compared to HtA...)

Went to Boots to get my mum a birthday pressie and as they have 3 for 2 on No 7 I settled on some Protect and Perfect day cream, night cream and P&P serum...the sales girl (read this and weep Mrs Blue Bear!) took my advantage card and walked off, saying 'I'm going to get you some extrra points. She came back with a Highlights illuminating powder and a No 7 Line Lift collagen booster...then said I could choose a lipstick as these were on 3 for 2..so I did and THAT was £9.30...I didn't pay for any of these they were free so I paid for 2 items and got 6:confused:. I am bragging here cos the Boots thread closed I think...

valli - where are you advertising the stuff you are selling ?
Morrisons have a board - they give you cards and it's free. Co-op does it too...

    Don't read if you're eating/drinking

soappie and quillion - eeewwwwww how can ou count plug hole hairs

Well how about this - last weekend when I was at my sister's I dragged HER 'rat's tails' out of the plugholes in her sink and bathroom - so long they must be going round the u-bend!
    I never have rat's tails:confused:
But when we moved in here the rat's tails (hair plus gunge) were so bad they were as fat as mice:eek: I had to drag it out with tweezers... and the drains had not been bleached for ages - the bathroom sink wastepipe (we have pop up plugs) - was thick with it - when I bleached it it sloughed off in sheets...

Don't think they'll let her get one off freecycle (Pigpen, printer) her mods banned her didn't they? - cos she pointed out the error of their ways...:rotfl:

    Hello all!
Haven't managed to post before now but:
Funky Friday - Brats rooms, spare rooms or wherever!
    :j:j:jAll Done:j:j:j

It's lovely here today so I have 3 loads of washing blowing outside - will iron it later, or tomorrow.
off to do some gardening - I have some sweet peas to put in & the lawn to scarify.
I also need to help DS fill in his dyslexia assessment form. Why do they send such long forms to dyslexics?!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend,

    they did.... :o

Maybe triker could get one for you... or has she been banned for associating with you :p

gratefulforhelp - I don't know a huge amount about it, but I know there are all sorts of regulations about it. I take it you don't have mains water, so would be concerned about your drinking water being contaminated? What do you currently do about water quality testing? And tell them your dandelions are a food crop... they're great in salad! I suggest growing some nettles, ground elder and fat hen to complement them...

    found this...http://www.dwi.gov.uk/consumer/faq/private.htm

    I think it's a 1000!
  • Thats funny, Greenbee will do that! We do have mains water, but prefer to use the well as its free...the water has been tested, but we haven't had it done recently, yes we should, you're right. We have a physical filter and a UV lamp to kill microbes. The parish council are very concerned that if we show any signs of being a working village, rather than a tourist attraction, it will reflect badly on them. I say if they want marigolds growing at perfect right angles to the soil and manicured lawns, they should go live in a park! No offence meant to people who have no choice about living rough...
