DS has just sent a text. Seems there's a choice of cod or mackerel. Guess who's having fresh caught cod for dinner :D I shall have to put my thinking cap on and consider how I shall cook it...

G&B hows your FIL getting on?

Fell? :rotfl: it took me ages to work out what they are, them chocolate pringle shaped like things, even now their name escapes me but I know what they are :p

Been to the dump and took OH's stuff round to his so I had a clear dining room for a while, then teenie took everything out of the shed and filled it back up in readiness to start turning shed into the utility room. I've got the floor paint and masonry paint, just need to clean it all up good and proper first, but that'll be tomorrow. Probably!

Been working out finances etc etc amen this avo, gonna do a cupboard/freezer inventory to see how many meals I can make this week cut down my shopping bill a bit, It's getting out of control now... time to rein it back in ....think I might start getting what I can at Aldi *rubs chin*

Off to make 2 x curries now, got enough chicken to make two meals so may as well....I'll stick one in the freezer for through the week.

Still washing here.... brought down the summer stuff to wash as its smelly and I don't think even an airing will do it. I will however put it on the quickest wash, followed by an extra spin ;)

I guess I should really do some tea

Thanks everyone....after lots of phoning up the hospital etc we've found out it's NORMAL! So why didn't they tell him that when he left the hospital. Anyway, I'm not complaining as i'd rather it was normal. It can last 36 hours and is caused by inflamation of the muscles of the eye. Phew!!!!!

I'm too tired to fly now but I have done one load of washing and put one load on the washing line.

Hugs to you all. Thanks again xx

Hope you dad feels better soon mudbath.

triker - after a traumatic experience like that I suggest you lie down and rest ... you don't want to take any risks :p

soappie - you lucky thing! I'd suggest cooking it very simply (pan fry/poach/roast) if it's that fresh, and having it with a squeeze of lemon and lots of fresh veggies

I have asparagus from my dad's garden that I brought back with me on Wednesday and have forgotten to eat so far. It should still be OK as it's been wrapped in newspaper in the fridge.

I have rearranged the utility room (cupboards are all now full!) and the kitchen (bottom of dresser is empty, as is one base cupboard and one and a bit small wall cupboards - they're cut-down bridging units). I now have to work out where I'm going to rearrange the food to so I can put glasses & mugs in the wall cupboard by the hob, and then the dresser will be empty... but I don't currently have room for it in the garage . Must do a car boot soon... I just need to find a date when someone can come and do one with me as I find it SOOO boring!
