I think I missed the fling challenge at the beginning of the week - going to look back and find the rules and will join in this week if it's running again. I've thrown so much out but we still seem to have 'stuff' everywhere!0

Sorry for such a long post but I've just caught up on quite a few pages! Phew!
Jill, so glad that yesterday went well and I really hope that you and DH have enjoyed your childfree day!
Toots, glad your kitchen and treatment are going well. Enjoy your few days off, try to relax this weekend!
Michelle, I’m sure you will be fab when you start back at school next week. I hope your colleagues give you a few tips when you do your training day. I would complain at nursery, that sounds wrong, poor little thing must have been cold! And well done on getting the kids clothes ready for next week that will save a lot of time and brain space!
Soappie how was DS’s fishing trip? Did he enjoy it and has he returned with the spoils of his labour?
Emily, you have been doing so well with the lists, that’s great!
Lilysue, hugs for your poorly eye!
Wow Nicki, I love the bed!
Mumoffour hugs on the extension, glad DS is doing so well and has so many more friends now. I can understand your sympathy for the mum of the girl, and yay on not having depression!
Hugs Wendy keep strong, don't let him come back if you don't want him to.
In labour since Wednesday! Eeeek! Hope your new nephew is here soon Shazba
Tag, what’s a camel bite?
Re binmen, ours never seem to take bank holidays off, they still come on their normal day which seems a bit unfair on them, but nice for us! Maybe it's cos we only have fortnightly collections
Sarah, glad to hear DD is happier now
Tia, please be careful and look after yourself – big hugs to you
Valli, great stuff on the Boots buy! I love going in there and getting free stuff with my points!
Cally, hugs on the foms, I've always wanted to know why dyslexia is such a hard word to spell?
Well done Laura on keeping the kitchen so clean and twinkly! It will make it much quicker to do next week and then you can focus on another room. I keep trying to do this in my house but it never quite works out! I’m sure you can do it tho!
Triker I love the fact that you illustrated your post incase we don’t know what a stubborn donkey looks like! It made me laugh!
Valli it’s esconsced, I googled it
Mudbath, hope your dad’s eyesight calms down soon
Hugs Soappie, hope you can have a rest and not feel so tired
Grateful, Greenbee and Valli, if they can’t hack the countryside they should just mozy on back to the town and make trouble there instead.
MSG glad DH finally admitted that he thinks the house looks nice!
Dusty, you ok hun?
Kaz, you say you’re not doing well, but you are doing amazingly! I haven’t even got one star this week, you have done all the lists and more besides!
I need some help. We have a bed sheet that really stinks and no amount of washing makes any difference. It reeks of damp and musty and horrible. It’s currently hanging over the bathroom door as it was washed recently but the smell is almost unbearable. It makes you gag when you go into the bathroom! Should we just chuck it out or is there anything I can do to make the smell go away?
I have failed miserably with the flying this week. After such a bad start to the week, I felt it was more important to spend time with friends and not be on my own in the house getting miserable again! And as I've had visitors twice this week the place isn't too bad. And I did some washing up today! I've only washed up twice this weekso I really need to have a big clean up on Monday. I have the day free so will hopefully be able to get caught up. If I have a good fly on a Monday it sets me up for the week.

Greenbee - I'll be gently baking the cod with a tiny drop of white wine and butter and a squeeze of lemon juice as soon as I've filleted it (it is already gutted). With salad and baby potatoes
Hugs Dusty - hope your mood improves
Well done on your 500 Hex
Piggers - what your preference wrt calibre of shot? I'm quite a good markswoman
Well DS is home and brought his father (ExOH1) and the other passenger (OtP) and a v. nice cod and two small mackerel with him.
Dispensed cups of tea and chatted. The visitors left and, once I'd waved them off, realised ExOH1 had left his mobile phone down the side of the armchair. Used brain and looked up the number of OtP (has a unique nickname) and phoned that two or three times and ended up leaving a message on the answerphone. Eventually the phone rings and it was quite hilarious apparently. OtP is sitting there in the car
"ExOH1 - why do you keep phoning me?"
"I can't possibly be - I'm driving..."
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Well, to me it was quite hilarious at the time.
Off to put the spuds on, fillet cod and gently bake it for not very long at all... the rest can go in the freezer....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Mudbath - there were no rules, it was just me at the end of the old thread seeing if any one wanted to keep me company on my get rid frenzy. I committed to 500 items this week - to be binned/sold/recycled rather than just put away, and then lots of other lovely people joined in :T. I stopped counting when I got to 500, but I'm sure I could do it again next week without making much of a dint.
Rosepink -thanks for the suggestion. I am one of the 'never sold on e-bay brigade' but I will look into it this week. The impression I had that (like selling books on Amazon which I do do sometimes but only if it is a very, very bad book) it was more hassle than it was worth for small things?

I've failed on the ebay challenge
, no items listed, but I have just got 13 bin bags of stuff down from the loft for charity/freecycle :j. Luckily we have a charity collection on Monday so I must see how much more stuff I can get sorted tomorrow.
Re-discovered my steam press, so did 2 hours ironing today, so all bed linen ironed & packed ready for move (didn't realise how much bed linen I had, but all now organised in sets within their pillowcases). I now remember why I stopped using this 'wonderful' machine', it bites , I have burns on several knuckles, apart from that it's great!! :rotfl:'Money and good health is coming easily to Flypeople'0
