I've decided to give up alcohol. I don't drink that much but sleep so much better without it. I'm aiming for a month and then i'll take it from there. That was a random thought wasn't it.

I will join you. I decided this morning to give up and then read your post. I will just sip a teeny bit at DDs wedding for toasts and other than that no more for me!

Good luck for this afternoon hex.

Well I lived up to my name yesterday afternoon and ended up having a nap all afternoon instead of going to the gym, so I'm all dressed in my gym kit this morning to go and do my marathon challenge.

OH has done a lot of the washing up whilst I was asleep this morning (I had a lie-in cos Ebony (my stupid cat)decided to knock over not only my water glass which was full of water, but also his pint glass that's on the windowsill at 4am and I ended up having to get up and clean it all up with no help from OH).

Have decluttered the desk a bit, and will whip the hoover around before I go, so that I can cross some more off my lists.

    Hope everyone is well,

    sexymouse xx

Jo, you need to keep an old bath towel by the door then when the dog goes out you put it on the floor ready and stop him as soon as he comes in (probably not so easy with a lively dog!). You won't get every bit of mud off his feet (says she from experience) but it will cut it down a lot.

Luckily the wet dog smell goes when they dry off again!

We have an old towel dressing gown/robe hanging in the porch and we wrap the dog, including his feet in it. It also stops him shaking his wet coat all over the lounge. He loves to wipe his wet back on the sofa too!! Sometimes visitors think my DH keeps his dressing gown in the porch!!:D

That is not just an ok excuse - it is a Very Good Reason. Nothing is as important as taking care of your children's needs, and that is doubly true when they're ill.

Thank you I didn't want people to think that because she was ill i was being lazy as i tried to do as much as I could when she was asleep but seemend not alot was done till now

Have just had a go at OH's bedside cabinet. Well only the top......but have moved 8 magazines, 12 books, sweet wrappers, and till receipts. Dusted it and the lamp . Looks so much better now
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

    Hi flygang.

I've been trying to keep up a bit this week with reading and flying seems though i am off work, and it has worked a bit. I have been doing a bit of flinging and i even pulled out the computer table and cleaned behind it which i didn't even know was on the list.

Boys have been at nursery Wednesday and today, although today hasn't been very productive as i think i must have eaten something dodgy yesterday as my stomach was very upset. I have only just been able to have a drink, so i went back to bed for a couple of hours to make up for the sleep i missed with stomach pains.

However, WM has just finished its 1st load, and i have done some internet pottering, and about to start doing some more school preparations for next week, but it won't be the mega productive day i had planned. DH was a sweetheart though and took the kids to nursery without me even asking and sent me back to bed.

I think a slow potter and see how i feel might be in order.

I feel very out of the loop here. No idea at all what is going on with most of you.
toots glad to hear your treatment is going ok
and it is lovely to see so many familiar names as well as new ones.

gandb we have blackout linings here rather than blinds, and they aren't as good. I think i am going to have to buy blinds too. I got mine from dunelm too.

hex good luck at the interview, and also well done on recent weight loss.

geocaching- i only heard of that about a year ago, my friend is really into it. She is currently on a year travelling around the world and part of her trip is to squeeze in doing as many geocaches as she can. I might get her to take me and the boys out doing it when she gets back so i can see what it is about as i could see them really enjoying it as they got a bit bigger.

Quick wave, and i'll go before i pass the lurgy on.

    Michelle x
