Laundry sorted. Started clearing up in the utility room and thought I'd put the last couple of doors on the wall units. As I knew I wouldn't be able to screw the hinges in while holding the door, I put half on the door and half on the cabinet... as the Ikea hinges are snap-on (I'm used to the B&Q ones which screw on), I now can't get them on  I think I need someone to hold the door straight, which is VERY annoying, as I wasn't planning on letting anyone into the house any time soon!

So I haven't done much of what I'd planned. I've just got time to make a list and then I'd better go off for my pedicure!
  • Morning all - have rebelled and booked today off as a mental health day - ie if i'd have gone in today, i would have gone mental!!! Plan today is to:-

    hello all!!

Can I just say - HATS OFF TO ALL YOU PEOPLE WITH PETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dog came in last night - ran around the garden in the rain, got proper soaking and them came bounding into the house and dived on me with big muddy paws, licked me half to death and then ran all over the downstairs of the house (which is open plan kinda - kitchen, LR, DR).

I quickly grabbed the rug off the floor before it got manky and its now rolled up at the bottom of the stairs. I managed to shut the door to the hall and stairs before he could get to it so thankfully he didnt make it to the stairs and carpet!

PLUS - I never knew how much dogs STINK when they are wet!!! EEEeeeeewwwwwwwww!

Anyway, cleaned all that up - then fed him at the same time that I fed us, because then we get to eat in peace. He does this thing when he is very pleased with himself, he will bring you the bowl to show you.......well my mum put some of the leftover gravy from the SC over his food.

He munched half of it and then carried the bowl into the living room to show us how pleased he was and spilled gravy ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!!!

I think before the week is out, ASBO-DOG will be a rug.

I did try to post a pic but it wont allow me, so i have emailed you a pic instead Toots xx

Jo, you need to keep an old bath towel by the door then when the dog goes out you put it on the floor ready and stop him as soon as he comes in (probably not so easy with a lively dog!). You won't get every bit of mud off his feet (says she from experience) but it will cut it down a lot.

Luckily the wet dog smell goes when they dry off again!

Hubby used to say that too until i had a quiet word in his ear!

Doing a proper tidy of LO's room, took everything off her windowsill which is a bit of a dumping ground:o All our windowsill are huge, at least 2 foot deep and about 3 foot across. Unfortunately her window has been open a tiny bit all winter and there is black mould all along the bottom of the window:eek: So cleaned it all off with flash, really need painted but will have to wait til i finish for the summer.

Have filled a big box and half a binbag with rubbish so far, will go do some more in a minute.
I also did all my dishes and S&S'd the kitchen.

    Another HHC anyone?

GnB - I'll join you for a HHC, I need to put away everything on the drainer and fill it up again! Cat bowls/food area etc need doing too, one of our cats has very few teeth, consequently he makes a right mess with his munchies!

I'm still going G&B so I'll be with you. I've just put some washing on the line but it's very grey and miserable out there so I don't think it will dry.

The kids' jeans have come clean thankfully -thanks greenbee.

There's no way I'm going to have all the jobs done I wanted to before I go back to work but at least I've done some!
