    Morning everyone,

You sound much more positive Jill which is good.

Good luck Hex. you'll be great.

    How is your dad Mudbath?

Think i might just throw a grenade into LO's room and be done with it! She has so much stuff:eek: Think it might be time to be ruthless.

Question: Does anyone have blackout blinds in the kids rooms? Are they any good and where is the best place to get them?

    Rant On:
Honestly, I'm not sure who their clothes are designed for, but my DD3 is skinny skinny skinny, and M&S clothes in her age are too small all over. It just makes me think that they are perpetuating the myth that women should be tiny! DD2 was really conscious that the clothes age 9 (which she is) are way too small, and we're going to need age 11 for her. She sat saying "am I fat Mummy?":mad::mad::mad::mad: (she isn't! But now doesn't believe me, because if she wasn't 'fat' she'd fit into her age group - wouldn't she!!:mad:) GGGRRRRRRR it really annoys me.
    Rant Off

But if she wasn't so beautiful and tall and grown up she wouldn't fit the length for the age 11 so she must be perfectly proportioned otherwise the age 11 would be too long.. it is all relative. If the width and length ft perfectly she is just growing into a very pretty young lady.

If she was just plump you could buy the age 9 in the 'extra width' clothes and they'd fit.. as it is they are too short! Sizes are just a guideline and because everyone is a different size or shape they can't be entirely relied upon. (In fact I'd take her in and let her try on the 'wider' sizes.. see how they are too short.. if she was just chubby they'd fit, right?) Show her she is just tall and slim.

    Morning All

Didn't really get back on last night so only caught up this morning.

The hospital rang yesterday as they want me to take DS to see the consultant on Tuesday so she can sort everything out, he can have more tests and they can start his treatment.

Soappie - feel free to offload to me anytime - I probably won't be much use but I'm a good listener.

Jill - pleased you had a better day yesterday - it sounds like you've made a good plan and hopefully things will get easier for you. I know how difficult I found it with only 2 Los with 20 mths between them.

Can't remember what else I wanted to say.

I'm going to get dressed and then make a start. HHC 8.30 - 9 anyone?

Thanks for the thoughts everyone - it is this afternoon. DH is 'babysitting' to quote, a term I find mildly irritating.

G N B - we had blackout blinds for the boys at the old house, c£15 in Dunelm Mill. Made a real difference especially with lunch time sleeps and babies, but also for bedtime as the nights get lighter.

I still haven't cleaned behind the PC desk. I will go and do it now then Wednesday is finished and then I can crack on with todays list. Must do WM x 10 as well. Toots - the tip on no more than an hours worth is so right, I have stuff all over our BR in piles from yesterdays de-clutter and it was a bit grim going to bed.

G&B one of my customers has a black out blind in the kiddies room and it's absolutely pitch black, but I've no idea where she got it from, sorry not much use. I can ask her if I see her though (not usually in when I go but sometimes is).

Hex sorry flower but I can't for the life of me remember what you're doing today but it seems Good Luck is in order...so......Good Luck xx

I've put 2 vases of dead flowers in the green bin and picked up the dead leaves that fell off but the living room looks really bare now lol it's like when you take the chrissy decs down.....almost!

Made my sarnies for work, got the housekey, put my Diary back in my bag, tidied the living room, put some rubbish in the bin outside that I forgot about, and bunged a box in the recycling box.

I've been up since 6 and I'm tired now *yawns* lol Off to make my bed now and bring the bin bag of rubbish down.
