Easter really makes me wish I had a family cos when you don't there is nothing to do.
I can lend you a 4 year old with a very loud party blower. He also comes with a large amount of chocolate which he isn't really keen on, and an obsession about mermaids and water.
Sometimes, having a family isn't all that great (I don't mean the 4 year old by the way, he's fab!). I find friends to be the way forward. I used to be hopeless at making friends, but as I'm getting older, I think "so what" and go for it. Sometimes it's worth taking the chance.
Sistercas my niece and nephews are currently suffering from my dad in the same way that your children have your MIL. My dad is also a compulsive cleaner, so neither my sister or the children will be able to find anything for the next 3 weeks :rotfl:0 -
Well I have been relaxing today J is over in Cheltenham visiting his brother and sorting some stuff out. He might be coming over later.
O/S has been my cleaning, my bathroom never looks clean dodgy avocado suite so I have used stardrops and I will finish scrubbing it, I also have to clean the Guinea Pig out.
Then tomorrow I am collecting a travel system for my friend that I found on Freecycle.Of all the things I have lost I miss my mind the most£2,960 in debt to RBS paying off at £10 a Fortnight0 -
welcome Kat
Even though tescos wbsite said it was open it wasnt, so i went to the co op. Got 3 organic chicken fillets for 3.09. Yeast is now 92p and im sure it was only 72 a few weeks ago! Anyone?
Treated myself to a slider with a flake from the ice cream shop. Mmm honeycombe.

Happy Easter everyone, and hugs to anyone who is poorly or lonely.
I'm just waiting for DH to get back from giving DS2 a lift to the pub to meet his mates, and then we can eat (roast beef, roasties,Y puds and peas with apple crumble for after)I made a lemon drizzle cake this morning too.
We had another viewer for the house earlier but I'll eat my hat if they get back to us,seemed totally disinterested in a polite kind of way.Ah well.
Been absolutely gorgeous here today, sat out in the garden this aft with a cuppa and all the birds were singing-lovely.
BB -loved the picture of Spike, what a cutie.
Sunnygirl hope your dad is ok.
Enjoy your evening folks, and the :EasterBunrest of the Easter break.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
NIC1 LOU2,
So that's how to get shelves put up, I'm going to leave everything out in the kitchen and hope DH will be trained to do likewise. However, I can't moan as he did finish the utility room last year and I had only been waiting for 24yrs.
REVEREBE and ZIPPYCHICK, I'll share Easter with you. Even my egg (if I had one) At least you know you have friends and vertual family here.:A
Well, the goose legs I cooked were a disapointment, first and prob last time we have them. By the time I strained all fat off and left sinues and gristle on the plate there wasn't much left to enjoy.
Went down our local as we do every Sunday to meet up a crowd of friends but our closest DF was not there, spoke to her DH (he popped in to let us know the situation) he said she is so, so ill with having Chemo and Radiotherapy treatment she can barely sit up. She is such a wonderfull person, at times life seems so unfair. If you have a prayer going spare please send it on.
Both DB's phoned today, they are still, as I am, keeping fingers crossed for the next results re- the big C.
SMOKY, I do hope you had a good holiday.
MEANMARIE, Haven't heard from you for a while, how is Ulrick?
Off to surf and see what I've missed out on. x0 -
Betheebee how awful for your friend, I will say a little prayer for her (and your DBs)
Welcome to Kat
Just had the chicken in red wine and to be honest I found it to be a little too strong for my taste. Hubbie is eating it but there again he eats anything anyway so is not a proper judge. There is loads left too which I was going to freeze not sure now. I wonder if I put some cream in it whether that would lessen the wine taste??????
Hubbie just finished mowing lawn before our meal so may go sit on the swing with my laptop for a while now. It is beautiful day here now after a slow start.
Hope all your meals were more sucessful
