    Morning all,
I had DGD for most of y/day, she is 5wks old tomorrow. Inbetween feeds & nappies I baked a chocolate cake and cooked pork chops, mushrooms, jackets, sweetcorn, onions and peas for ours & DD2 & SiL2b's dinner. Made custard to go with the cake for pud.
Did 2 loads of washing & dried on the line.

Had 2 freecyclers pop in to collect gardening stuff I offered (why did we have 4 spades, 3 forks and 6 secateres & 7 saws?)
TRU, it's a great way of getting rid of unwanted stuff and it saves on landfill.

Because I was busy y/day I didn't get to go shopping until 6pm. There wasn't an Easter Egg to be found. I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses Woolies,
I'll pop into the next town see if there's any there. I did buy DGD2 one of those paper machie (sp) ones beautifully painted. It's like those Russian dolls, it has smaller ones inside, 9 in all.

Some help/advice needed here,, I'd like to make a box for DGD2 to put her special things in. First Easter, B/day, xmas cards, first clothes she wore etc. I was thinking of maybe doing collarge (sp) or material. Any ideas from you gifted lot? :A

DH & I are having roast goose leg and all trimings for dinner, and doing a beef roast for DD2 & SiL2b. YS fruit & cream for pud.
Don't know why my spelling head has gone on strike. :o

SUNNYGIRL, Good to hear possitive news about your DDad.x
SISTERCASS, That book looks good, think I'll get one also. ;)

    Happy Easter everyone:)
Lots of people with lots of plans today for delicious sounding food!
It's a bit overcast here but we have had 2 days of solid sunshine so can't complain. There was a real downpour when I went to bed and I was glad for the garden:).
Not doing my usual trail walk with dogs this morning as the young one managed to come back limping yesterday after shooting off round and round some long grass. She seems fine just now but I'll do a shorter walk later.
OS today - a clean of the bathroom with Stardrops and vinegar and I'm sure the kitchen could do with a good clean as well, including floor.
Might knit some more of my jumper later on - it has been in the bottom of the wardrobe for over a month now. I hope to get it finished by winter!
I'm making a little plan for tidying up the garden a bit. QD has opened in our old Woollies and they have small green wrougt iron(type) table and 2 chairs for £29.99. I'm planning getting a set to put in the little snuggery bit at the bottom of the garden. I'll also get some more bark and some of that wooden edging. That bit of the garden gets the morning sun and when I had a bench there, I used to take out a cup of tea in the summer mornings. With putting the house up for sale, I'm thinking of all the best bits about this house and trying to show it at its best.
Ok, that's it for now. Off to have my muesli and yoghurt and another nice cup of tea:).
Hope you all enjoy your Sunday and (((hugs))) to those feeling under the weather or troubled.

Morning all, and a VERY HAPPY EASTER:j

Will be popping to church this morning - after the starkness of Lent, the church looks gorgoeous dressed for Easter, especially the flowers.

DD and DS were on a sleepover last night so the house is very quiet this morning (except for the spaniels snoring at the foot of the bed:D)

Will be having lamb for dinner. I was lucky enough, when younger, to spend my early 20's working on Greek cruise ships and boy, do they know how to celebrate Easter. There was always a midnight meal with traditional food wherever we were in the world. I spent some time living in Greece and on Easter Sunday the whole village would turn out for a lamb spit-roast with lots of eating, drinking, dancing and feel-good family togetherness.

There will be NO SHOPPING for me today and I certainly can't bring myself to hang the washing on the line (Grandma, if you are up there watching over me - see, the OS values I learned at your apron strings are being passed to my own DD!)

    Have a lovely day everyone.

DS is back from his dads this morning so am going to get his easter eggs hidden around the house shortly. i have had some sleep again so feeling much better:T, DS wont be back at his dads for a fortnight now so will have to get some early nights at some point.
Roast lamb for lunch today can`t wait, with garlic and coriander seeds a la delia.....yum
will make some cakes this morning too.
Am wanting to get in garden and plant out some of my seedlings into bigger pots, I have some basil i want to get into a bigger pot see if it will grow any bigger. my rhubarb crown is coming on well:D
DS has a swimming party to go to later,it is a swimming group for disabled children and they meet once a month for a swim and party food......it is his first one so fingers crossed;);)
I have ordered some more books for my autism library to try to understand why he does things and how to help. EG when he was swimming on fri a little girl from his class was there and kept saying hello noah and trying to play. He kept looking away and making noises. she gave up eventually. Later I asked him about it and he said he only has to play with her at school and swimming wasnt the school:rolleyes::think:.....if only i could get into his head.
jackieO sorry to hear your lymphodema is problematic, hopefully once you see the BCN you will get some compression garments and she will teach you how to manage it with self massage/manual lymphatic drainage. you are right it is common after cancer treatment unfortunately.
hugs to anyone else needing them and enjoy easter sunday

    Happy Easter Everyone:easter_ba

Weather dull and overcast here at the moment but we live in hope.......

We were going to take a run out to the coast today but I have been up half the night with a dicky tum so not sure that I should try sitting in a car for one and half hours???? Wil see how I feel in an hour or so - it might settle down. Was off it yest whilst out shopping but it settled down and then I was drinking wine last evening when my friend came for a meal so I don't suppose that has helped!

Diva hope you are feeling happier today. SunnyGirl very impressive linking going on there:T Bargainbird - Spike is gorgeous!!!

So not sure what todays plans will be. Will hover around a bit to see how things go.

BTW think I may invest in that book too.
(I have visions of Amazon being inundated with orders from this site lol:rotfl:)

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning all.

Happy easter to those who celebrate, for me its more of a sign that winter is over, and we have summer to look forward to.

Not raining at the moment, but it does not look great out there , we have had rain for most of the weekend, OH and I went out walking yesterday, and had our picnic sititng on a bench, under the trees in the pouring rain

Roast chicken and all the trimmings today, will do it for about 2 ish, as I want to spend some time in the garden.

    bargain, Spike is beautiful xx

Squiggly, I bought a rhubarb plant last year and have got it in a pot on the patio, it was £5, I did not have any off of it last year, but its looking good for this year :T

Jackie I hope you feel better soon xx

Tired mum, glad you had a good holiday, could you pm me details ? sounds great x

Diva, I got a loaf out of the freezer yesterday, and it had a wallace and grommit voucher on it, if you pm me your address I will send it to you xx

Ok, thats it from me, have nice relaxing days all, I must say, I think the tv for tonight is awful, which is about normal for a bank holiday
