RE: sharing codes, and the Express article above...
I have always felt dubious about using codes, when the source hasn't been identified. I wouldn't want to get some in trouble for using a code personal to themselves, or in fact not get a discount that I was expecting (if the code wasn't genuine). So could I make a plea for people to follow some simple steps when sharing them?
    1. State the code (xx-rfm8)
    2. State the offer (£5 off £50)
    3. State expiry (31st Aug 06)
    4. State source (Mother and Baby magazine, for example)

    (Genuine example, by the way)

It would be also nice if we could some how delete old messages that are out of date, or start a new thread every 2 or 3 months, as it gets SO long, and I always feel I might be missing something, unless I read them all!!!!!

    Just my two pennies worth!

P.S. I've always had excellent R&R from Tescos too.

    I agree John LG

  • I received one of the letters with the sum codes on. I used it last week and when my bill was received it wasn't showing. I rang CS and they said that there was a problem with my account and that I hadn't ticked a box to use ecoupons.
Wasn't really sure what the CS person was going on about because I have used loads of codes before. Anyway, the CS person said they would add the points on manually. Today, the points have still not been added.

I rang CS again and they explained that there has been a problem with CC points over the last week and that the problem has now been resolved. Points are now being added in batches and if the points are not there in a couple of days then I should ring them back. It seems strange when some points from my weekends shopping have been added already.

And I am still waiting for my 2000 points for joining Tesco home phone.

Anyone had their SUM points yet.

Labradoodle - I found this recently, and has always been a frustration that my clubcard vouchers would only be accepted in store, then I realised it's easy to swap to eCoupons - which must be where most of these codes come from!
    Login to your account,
    Go to My Account,
    Click on Your CLubcard details
Then 'click here' section to change your clubcard details.

Then in the second paragraph down, you can click on the blue statement that says something like, click here to recieve ecoupons in my clubcard statement, or conversely it will say click here to recieve instore coupons in my clubcard statement...

I'm now waiting for my first customer specific ecoupons this month! (if they work now!) - so I guess Jethrod and Speedy Gonzales, yours may come in August too - login to your account and it will tell you your clubcard balance and the month of your next statement...

  • Looking for some advice friends.

Was doing an order last night but the Tesco system was problematical so I stopped after a few items, checked out and decided to add the rest this morning. I thought I'd go to the checkout page, where you add vouchers, when I finished this morning. But as I'm sure a lot of you know, all it does is confirm the changes and checkout automatically. Is there a way of adding a voucher to my current order?

    Thanks.

I don't believe there is (I may be proved wrong here). I've tried a number of times and have never been able to do it.

No me either...once you checkout that's it, all you can do is confirm any changes to your order...the only thing to do would be to cancel your order, re-input it (might be under 'my last order' in your favourites by then???), checkout and enter your code, hoping that you get the same delivery slot available??? Bit risky though if it's near to the delivery slot. Although with all their codes suddenly being invalidated the delivery slots do seem readily available...strange huh? Perhaps they are losing some custom?
Free delivery on orders over £50 I say!!!

Just got the phone with Tesco CS, seems like every one has a different script. I used one XX-6SUM and got 1000 points accepted on my order confirmation but it didn't show on my despatch note or online.
CS guy explained that Tesco have now changed online coupon policy that they will only add the points on once the whole promotion has ended and everyone will receive their points then.
He assured me that I would see the 1000 points in my December statement (fat lot of good that'll be for Christmas pressies) and that this is their new policy from now.

 Does anyone know what Tesco's policies are?:rotfl:

This code was meant for deliveries 14th Aug-3rd Sept, thus may have been the problem. I am holding on to use this code on the specified date, we will see if the points are awarded automatically then.
My thought is to try the code again & see if it says used maximum number of times, then you will know if it was ever applied to your account.

    Hi All,

Possibly the wrong place for this question but I thought that if any money savers knew the answer to this it would be you guys ;).

Is there I way I can find out (without having to phone tescos) whether or nor they deliver to certain postcodes? I know they deliver to me but my friend who lives 1/4 of a mile away in the same village has been told they wont deliver to her as its too far?!?!?!?!? I would like to double check as it would save her a lot of hassle(shopping with 3 kids under 4) and she could take advantage of codes etc for more points.

    Many thanks,
    Allison.
