Hiya guys and Gals, this relates to Police, however not gonna reveal which force to due some jobsworth (no users mentioned) likely to be offended.
Check out Nandos as already stated, we also get half price subway, usually if you buy a 6 inch sub you get the other half free. Subway also give us free soft drinks. McDonalds supply us wih free coffee within reason, and we get half price sayers (bakery) too. Starbucks dish out free 'coffee of the day' but you obviously have to pay for the old caramel machiato's and the like!
Didnt know about the pizza places so thanks for that. Public transport is another, but as stated, are expected to deal with the unexpected, which i'd do anyway, you find some bobbies would rather pay their 60p fare though so they could just sit back should anything happen!
As always in our job, cover your bum and know your audience, if these 'dizzie for a bizzies' arent registered with your force, there's always gonna be someone who is willing to have a go in an effort to get the next rank!!
regards:T The more money i save, the quicker i can buy my Audi0 -
More for Police Officers
Good discount at Domino's Pizza (20% I think), Discount at Subways providing you don't go during rush hours and some Burger Kings give discount (Hmm, then I wonder why I'm putting weight on!!). Check with your local federation for a list.0 -

That information alone is nearly enough to entice me to join the Herts Men In Blue LOL!!“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -

MESSAGE TO STORES?SUPPLIERS AND ANYONE ELSE THAT CAN GIVE DISCOUNTS
This site just goes to show that if you give a little - you get more custom!!! think about it. What could you offer? Just as an example, a free cuppa with a sndwich would entice loads of workers at lunch time. It's got to be good for your business. Oh and by the way, I'm a cop so some incentive to buy healthy food would be good!!0 -

I very much agree with the above!
I understand what some people say about the 'flash your warrant card' discount being wrong if its not pre-arranged, as it goes against police proffessionalism. However, if it's offered to you, I say take it. Its not as if you asked for it. Asking for it is a different kettle of fish and may be construed as being dishonest.
There are a few discounts knocking about for cops, all of which I have never asked for and have just been offered when in uniform -
Staff price McDonalds meals.
Staff price KFC.
Cheap Starbucks.
Cheap pizza from Pizza GoGo.
Nando's.
I saw an ad in a paper once offering group discount for Outback Steakhouse for emergency services. May not be valid anymore.
Of course there are the usual things for cops -
Free travel on London Buses/Tube.
Free travel in 70 miles radius of London.
(again, if you see anything happen, you're obliged to deal with it)
I have never ever asked for discount when off duty. But if Burtons and al those other places have arranged discounts for us then bring it on.
It seems a bit silly to me if you were to walk up the counter in uniform and they were to say, "Theres a ten per cent discount for you" and you were to reply, "It's ok mate, charge me full price coz I might be branded as dishonest."
Anyone disagree?0 -

Also, if you are a uniformed member of staff with the ATC try the "Forces Discount Brochure" for offers, try searching the web for a link to it.0 -
A friends was telling me that if you go via Staffs Police Fed Office you can get reduced price admission to Alton Towers - You have to book in advance.
I have been a few times with him and his family - saves a few quid.0 -
can anyone tell me if there are any discounts available for phamacists?0

meerkat, cheers for the tips - however we don't have a Starbucks in the backwater that is Bolton! Also the local Subway don't give any discount, but the one in the town centre does, how weird?!0
