Yes I also use microfibre cloths with and without water for most of my cleaning - and the very cheapest kind. It works really well, can an e-cloth still improve on this? Does anyone know how exactly they are different?"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
I have ordered some e cloths as I have had my micro cloths for a very long time. My dh can have the old ones for cleaning his bike. I notice that the e cloths need to be washed very very hot after the initial washes at 60 and with very little soap powder. I`ll do them in a pan as I have been washing at 30 for two weeks and that is proving very successful

I use a bowl of hot water with a tablespoon of washing up liquid. I wash the windows with a cloth and I then polish with an old 'flat' tea towel.

If they are, then I will tell my man as windows are now his job.
Tho' I have to tell him every single time that the windows are dirty. Why can he not see it for himself??
It's a man thing. You just have to accept it, I'm afraid. My DH also does stuff when I ask, bless him, but never notices himself. It's just a fact of life.

Wow! Thanks for this.
I was just about to start cleaning my windows (but decided to browse through here for a while first - yes, I KNOW I'm putting it off!)
I think I might pop into B&Q later today to see if they've got any e-cloths.

oh they`re very very good. My cloths came today and I have whizzed around the shower and cloakroom so far. Excellent stuff. I have just tidied my kitchen drawer and thrown out some old cloths (now for bike cleaning duty) and the e cloths take pride of place. I might get some more so that I can have one a day in the kitchen and wash in a batch

I've always had trouble getting my windows as clean as I'd like them.
No matter what I try, there always seems to be smears left. Has anyone conquered the problem?0 -
What works for me all be it on car windows is wash said windows, then go over with damp shammi then use a t towel or old t shirt, brings them up a treat. If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.0

An Army trick was to wash them with wet newspaper and then buff them with dry newspaper.
Worked for me.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
I always use mr muscle window spray, spray it on liberally, work it onto tough stains ie kiddies hand prints, re-spray that area , then sqeedgie it off with a big window thingy, like a car windscreen scraper with the rubber blade, only larger, to cover bigger areas- I have huge windows and never get smudges! if a tiny smuge appears polish it off with a lint free cloth. I get my window blade thing (I wish i could think of the correct name for it!) It usually take seconds to do this though it takes practise to work across the window from top to bottom in a straight line....
did any of that make sense????????????
sorry half asleep!
