Ickle, I think when it comes to v cushions, they're all pretty much the same... I'd get a cheaper cushion and a couple of covers so you have some spares for washing...

Also, I can put you in touch with someone who's succesfully breastfed twins if you'd like? Just pm me :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • i think Dunelm Mill may have been mentioned as selling cheap v shaped pillows

Dooleys - no advice on loft extension really! Just be warned on schedules - we got our achitect in for drawings last summer, had several different builders quotes, settled on one who quoted 8 week schedule depending on weather. He started in mid November and is still here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Krystal - thanks on cushions - will PM you on BF.

Hmmmm might make a dash to the library later - think it's open today... see if they have any books on baby crochet in at the moment and then stopping at the DIY store for some pansies for the hanging baskets and maybe some kitchen paint which I didn't get yesterday :)

Can anyone recommend a v shaped pillow for me please? Have just been using cushions to put a barrier between hubby and I during the night but have read that they are extra useful as an aid for breastfeeding twins. The range of prices is huge - which ones have you gals found to be good ones?
Some ladies were talking about the cheep one from dunelm here http://www.dunelm-mill.com/product/352.htm
    and covers here http://www.dunelm-mill.com/product/1615.htm

I'd personally go cheap first and see how it goes, they also do a memory foam one thats £30 if you wanted something more expensive :)

    hey ladies,
I'm struggling to keep up with you all at the moment, i see there's some congratulations for AM and SLS! and some gorgeous piccies too!

I found this yesterday which i thought might be useful to those of you that were debating the use of mattresses from sibling.... looks like the FSID (Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths) say it's ok...

I'm not gonna give much of an update about me, I'm a bit down, my boss is being a bit of a nightmare and I can feel depression creeping up on me again which is scaring me, I just feel like they're looking for a way to boot me out of work at the moment and I don't really know what to do...hope you're all in a happier place...:o

I decided not to go into work today as I feel a bit icky. Hubby has stayed home to look after me. I will still be going to my first antenatal class tonight. Its an NCT one from 7pm until 10pm. I hope there are plenty of loo breaks! Really looking forward to it, more because I think it will be really good for hubby. I know he secretly reads my pregnancy magazines (particularly the articles about whether sex is safe!) but he still has alot to learn (me too really)!

We had a discussion after watching that hospital programme last night about whether I want baby cleaned first. I did want baby on my chest immediately but as my hubby has a very strong reaction to blood and goo, I was very concerned that that would be the first thing he saw rather than our beautiful baby. He put my mind at rest anyway and said that he wanted baby as she is before being cleaned. We then had a talk about the umbilical cord etc, which he says he wants to cut if possible. I didnt think he'd want too due to blood and goo aversion (that is the medical term in this household) but he does so i'm really really pleased.

Jillie, as for finding out the sex, my hubby didnt want to know and just went along with it as I wanted too ( I have no patience). I did feel bad afterwards that I had been a bit pushy and hadnt really taken what he wanted into account. I probably still would have found out but would have talked to him a bit more first rather than just ploughing ahead regardless. There is no way ever either of us could have kept it from the other. I think my hubby is left out sometimes because this pregnancy is all about me and beanie, so I suppose I can see where your hubby is coming from.
