I'm up too . The dog woke me up around 7 by licking my face, lovely eh . Wouldn't be without him though. Have been trying to keep up with everything but if i miss a day i'm stuffed :D
Talking of cot mattresses, what type have people found the best and reasonably priced as there's soooo many with all these different things called spacetec, coolmax or amicor . Please help me!!!

    morning dooleys :)
We've got the bog standard "foam core" ones from mothercare (bought before I discovered the wonder of MSE, kiddicare etc...)
Chris has been sleeping on his cotbed one for almost 2yrs now and its not sagged at all so we're gonna use it for baby too.
I suppose to be fair what mattress do you have on ur bed? If you insist on the best for your bed you may feel you should do the same for bubba or if ur like me be as tight as you like :p

    Tine!!! Glad you're back :D :kisses3:

Yeah doggy is for my parents, we/they are experienced dog owners and breeders so we know what's involved in looking after a dog/puppy and we've experienced the new owner returning a puppy too - we soon learnt from that one!
I'm not sure if we would be able to get a rescue dog due to what we intend to 'use' the dog for but it's where we'd like to start ;)

You still feeling a bit poop with pain?

I'm not going to comment on what you might use the dog for as I think we'd disagree rather strongly if it involves breeding ;)

Still poop with pain yes... less sleep but the pain is managable during the day now there is very little driving or sitting in offices. I try to walk around a fair bit at my own pace but standing too long is excrutiating! alledgedly I have been referred to physio again but they are SO rubbish at giving you appointments so it's been nearly 2 weeks since I was referred... grrrrrrrr And still no appointment.

    Hohum...

    Thanks Sami

I don't care where we get it from, it's just that Mothercare is the main babyshop by us but they always try to sell you the most expensive version . Think they must see us coming!!. First time parents who don't have a clue, & when we say it twins....the £££ signs appear in their eyes . Will have a look on Kiddicare.
If anyone has any advice we appreciate it :D

We ended up with a £75 matress from Babies 'R' Us - as it's a cot bed we wanted a decent one that would last a little while :) I would say it depends on if it's a cot or cot bed really... if it's something they will be using for several years then invest in something better than a cheapie matress - but that's just my view :)

no more breeding for us, just what we used to do when we had a pedigree English Springer Spaniel, we bred misty (lurcher) once but she made a much better auntie than mum (and seamed to have lesbian tendencies ) so we didn't do it again and we had Meg spade as she turned into an escape artist when on heat so we didn't want to end up with her having pups too young/too close together/getting run over on an escape:eek:

I would like to breed doggies in the future but I'm not sure if i ever will as I think the breed standards have gone too far but I shan't start the breeding debate or we'll be off on a tangent for ages :p

I'm sorry ur so uncomfortable :( why is it when u get referred for something small that ur not too bothered about you get it really fast but when you really want it it takes ages

PS sorry I wondered off then Chris decided to remove is poop filled nappy and drop in on the carpet  and then I got distracted by sock monkeys

Not caught up properly yet,I just scanned for news on AM. CONGRATULATIONS on baby Ryan (lovely name btw!) hope your recovery is quick n easy xx

Had a lovely day at Brid yesterday, long day as expected though as couldn't get away from work till 2pm..we got home just before 10pm! Then I couldn't bloomin get to sleep. I had a coffee in Mcdonalds at teatime to keep me going as tiredness was settling in..well it kept me going alright-till gone midnight! So Im tired now, and also just had bad news. A friend from work has lost her fight (very short fight) with cancer earlier this morning. My hearts going ten to dozen and I wanna puke..is that shock?
love my little man he is amazing :j
  • Morning all

There's tumbleweed rolling through our office today - and it's sunny so it makes it even worse to be stuck here!

We now have shed base thanks to efforts of Dh and Dad - I had to be in official wifey mode and do cooking and cups of tea, which as you may guess is not my preferred role lol! DH is very excited now - moving into phase 2 of dad2b DIY campaign, bless.

Speaking of cotbeds, we got a Cossatto one off ebay for £30 but were planning to buy a slightly better mattress for the reason Mrs T gives. Probably mid-range though, nothing too flash - we are MSE-ers after all!

Really sorry about your friend Helen. X

Bad nights sleep. Seem to lie awake worrying about allsorts at the moment. Have you heard from AM again Sami?
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
  • helen - really sorry to hear about your friend - hugs.

It sounds like shock though am not speaking from experience... You're going through something traumatic so it may just be that you need to go with what you're feeling and allow your body to react to the grief. It must be so hard but it's a natural reaction to the shock of loss. Please be easy on yourself and give yourself some time and space to deal with it.

    Our thoughts are with you
