I'm shocked at Cladia how tiny TINY tineeee does she look. Espech around the shoulders! It doesnt look like her. I lurveee the dress though, althou couldnt wear it with my boobs!

Hi Shelvis.

I wouldn't buy a new one, but thats just my opinion.

If theres nothing wrong with it then why buy new? Plus its your other child thats been lay on it and not a stranger.

I'm sure others will say different to me.

I think theres soooo much scare mongering these days . Its 10 years since i had my last one and I cant believe the change..cant eat this that and no hot baths oh and dont make too many bottles up at any one time ..at the end of the day its up to you and only you.

Shelvis, I bought a new one for DS2 as the mattress had 'sunk' after DS1 used it. There a big DS1 shaped dip where he had slept. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have bothered tbh.

late on tonight: we had our internet disconnected for most of last evening and today, which was really annoying when I wanted to see how AM was getting on! So many congratulations *albeit a bit belated) to AM and newmum, and welcome to fidget

I actually braved the town today, to find out that the expected crowds weren't bad at all. It was lovely and sunny, but the mist has rolled in again, so I'm not sure what it will be like tomorrow. I had a look around primark, and did see some nice strappy tops and longer vests which would look good under a cardi or shirt, so might go back for some of them at some point this week. The nice thing about the strappy tops is that they are also only 98p each so very appealing. I admit it was fun walking past all the full length mirrors: I'm not used to seeing an obvious baby bump (just usually me overweight bump) and it made me take a double-take a couple of times!

Shelvis, I put Aimee's cotbed up just before christmas... Washed the cover off the mattress but won't be replacing it... Like your hubby says, it's been in constant use... Had a protective cover on... and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it... The crib my aunt is giving to us has been in her loft for about 4 years so we'll be getting a new mattress for that...

Shelvis, i wouldn't bother.

My daughter went straight into the cot after my son came out of it (there is 18 months between them) so I didn't see the point in buying a new mattress.

Like the others have said, if it had been stored somewhere, then yes get a new one as you don't know what crap and dust would have got onto it, but for continual use between siblings, I really wouldn't bother

Don't you think that Claudia just looks a bit 'wrong' anyway? I always think she looks really dopey - I haven't watched HK coz I hate hate hate Marco I just don't like him, think it was because the first I knew of him was in Gordon's book and he paints a very nasty picture!

Shelvis - I don't think we'll get a new mattress for bubba, I haven't actually checked the rules but if we hadn't have had 2nd baby Chris would be using this mattress for another year or two so I don't see the difference personally. Although bubba will be in crib at first (with the mattress that we used for Chris) and daytime naps will be in a moses basket that has been used by my friend for her 2 girls (now 2yrs and 6mths) I might get a new mattress for the MB but prob not, I'm pretty laid back about these things tho.

I'm grumpy Got decorator coming at 8am :eek: can someone tell me why on earth when he said "is 8 ok or would you prefer later?" I said "oh no no 8 is fine" :doh: stoopid stoopid Sami now has to get up too early and spend the day feeling very uncomfortable that there is a man in her kitchen at least Mummy n daddy are home 2mo so hopefully Mummy will come round for a bit, I'm gonna suggest we go looking at rescue doggies once decorator finished too I know its a bit soon but as she's off work it'll be better to go while its quiet and I have a feeling we'll be quite picky. It'll be soo weird coz we've never really picked a 'new' dog we always sort of acquire them or have kept a puppy from a litter.

The trouble with rescue centres is that you want to take them all home...

I can't sleep... Hubby's off on his comedy snoring again and I just feel wide awake... Hungry too.... Don't know if I want to risk going into the kitchen to get something to eat though, will probably end up letting the cats out... Plus I just weighed myself and I haven't put anything on in the last 2 weeks! 2st1lb more than I was when I booked in though...
