Candice - like Tine say's they don't HAVE to but I'm sure if you spoke to them they would be much happier with you trying to sort out an alternative as the other option is that you could get signed off sick and that would be much more of a pain for them.
Tara - SHE is the horrible person for treating her daughter and family like that!

    Afternoon all,

Back to work for me today. I have to say that i'm 31 weeks this Friday and I am finding it really tough. I am really working my little socks off but thats just the nature of the job. It doesnt help however when ungrateful client's scream and shout at you.

I am sorely tempted to ask if I can work from home on Mondays but that was what I wanted to do when Beanie came so i'm not sure if I would be pushing it to ask now. I know the big bosses have expressed a fear to some of my colleaugues that I will go into labour in the office and give birth near their desks (they are men - can you tell!!) as I was working until the day before my due date so I might take advantage of their fear!!

My hubby has an interview at my work place today, so everyone keep their fingers and toes crossed for him. Its a position he really really wants. I'm not sure how I feel about working in the same office as him everyday but I will cross that bridge if it comes to it. It also means that in about 9 months time he will be working for me in my department for a short time but he says its just work and doesnt matter. He will be in my office today at 2pm and then I am going to ask if I can go home with him. Will let you know how he gets on.

Hugs to those in need xxxx

  • Morning ladies, hope you are all well.

Little beanie has been very quiet this morning after having a football match in there last night! I cannot stop eating at the mo, already had 2 hot cross buns, homemade tiffin and a bag of minstrels this morning and I still feel ravenous! (I really should eat something more nuitritious shouldn't I! Lol)
I have another hydrotherapy appointment this afternoon, which I am looking forward to.

We are thinking about going up to the Kiddicare shop soon, has anyone been there and is it worth the trip?

Will you be taking a briefcase full of money and hiring a lorry? :rotfl:
From the pictures I've seen that's what you'll need! LOL

:rotfl:Well I don't know about a briefcase of money, and our VW Golf's boot can only hold so much! I might have to suggest the Inlaws come too with their people carrier! The only big things left to buy is the Pram, car seat & Cotbed Mattress. But we still have lots of the little bits to buy: Bedding, Clothing basics etc. We thought if we could go somewhere that stocks everything, we could get it all done in one go (We have also been given a nice monetary gift from our parents/grandparents, that means we can afford to buy everything now and not wait till pay day!)

I want to come too, shall we all descend on them en-mass. I think its about time that Martin set up a little discount for us MSE ladies with Kiddicare.

No I must refrain from spending anymore money on beanie unless it is absolutely nescessary. This is my new mantra and I intend to stick to it ...... until maybe next weekend!
