I am in a foul mood this morning as I have had a falling out with OH. We were supposed to be buying beanie's cot yesterday and I also mentioned that we needed to get some sort of storage for the nursery for all the bits and bobs (toys, bottles, breast pump, nappies etc). He got really cross and said that the room was too small. At the moment all these things are in a cardboard box in a pile on the floor (the big one the Boots huggies nappies came in). All I intended to do was buy a nicer looking box or a small storage unit which would fit on the same wall as the nappy changer so would not take up anymore space. He told me that he had only agreed to go and get the cot and if I wanted to get storage unit I should get it myself. He has been really moody since friday, when it was my birthday and we did absolutely nothing for it. We were supposed to go out for dinner last night to celebrate but of course that didnt happen. I havent spoken to him since 3pm yesterday and he slept on the sofa last night. We are just dancing round each other in the flat. I tried to reason with him and told him that he had let me get everything else for beanie and I had only bought the bare minimum at the lowest cost possible so why didnt he trust me that we need some storage. I asked him what he thought I should do with all the stuff on the floor and if he thought I should just leave it in a mess like that but he refused to talk about it anymore.

I think he knows he is in the wrong but that has made him get all defensive and sulk. Why is it when I havent done anything wrong, he makes me feel really guilty? I refuse to back down and call him this time though like I always do. I shall just wait for him to apologise. It is going to be really difficult though as I hate not speaking to him.

Right, I am going to try to concentrate on my work.

Aww that's pants

I know my OH will moan sometimes when I want to go out to buy something, then see or remember something else, but when it's come to stuff for the baby, he's been there all the way with me.

Let him sulk, like you said, you've done sod all wrong, and hopefully he will come to his senses and take you for that birthday meal! xxx

Tine - just to let you know I sarted to get pins and needles in my fingers when in bed, now I get them all the time and have been told I have carpal tunnel, but that it should resolve once baby is born. When I told my MW she referred me straight away to get splints to keep my hands in a better position. The physio told me to keep an eye on it after baby due to working with computers. But then again thats just my experience :rolleyes:

Thanks Sami I know he'll be a great dad too but I also never want him to feel excuded from his baby or even the pregnancy... I know it bugs him a lot he can't come to every MW appointment etc with me - it's like he feels he should be there through everything with me (and he'd honestly probably drive me nuts lol) but with working so far away it's just not practical sadly...
I'm just glad I know he'll be there no matter what happens and that he's more of a night person than I am :rotfl: we complement each other well when it comes to that so hopefully we can get through the rocky nights with no sleep etc lol

Morning all,

Well, I am 36 and 5 today and have just been for my scan and appointment with the consultant.

Everything with the twins is great and they told me so. Both are head down and seem raring to go. Both are around the 5lb 11 mark (I will be giving birth to at least a 12lber :eek:). They have told me it will probably be late this week early next week by what they can see and feel. If not, they have booked me in for a scan on 5th May. Although I would prefer May babies (they sound warmer ) I just want them to be healthy and we aound like we are on the right track!

Ickle - so long as they don't arrive today you're good! They'd have been sharing a B'day with a certain very nasty german if they arrived today

Elle, I had a mug printed with Poppy's pic from snapfish when they were on offer, put in a miniture Scotch and a bar of fruit and nut (his faves!) and wrapped it in cellophane. He's never used the mug though! :rotfl:But Mum said he really loves it .

Look here for teachers http://www.bwy.org.uk/ and ensure they are familiar with pregnant ladies. you don;t need a special pregnancy class but you do need someone who knows what limitations being PG places on your ability to do yoga.

My Oh does it with me and we really enjoy it - maybe your OH could go too?

Tine, Sami beat me to it... But... Skin to skin is fantastic for building good neural pathways in babies, and it doesn't have to just be Mummy that does it! Get hubby to stick Roo up his top at every opportunity and they'll have a fantastic bond!

I was absolutely cooking in bed last night, considered going topless... But Aimee is fascinated by my boobs and didn't fancy being woken up by her tweaking my nips so I settled for a tiny, way to short vest... Not particularly attractive, but hey... Dropped off eventually but seemed to wake up every time I needed to roll over... Which seems to get more painfull every night... At one point hubby asked me what was hurting, when I said my hips he just said 'oh' and went back to sleep... He doesn't remember... But I think he's paranoid about me going into labour even in his sleep lol...

Ickle - good stuff depending on ur thoughts on visitors etc them coming just before the next scan could be good; the 4th May is bank holiday so everyone would be off work

SB - you've just reminded me, at the weekend OH was saying we should get a pic from our wedding that is all 3 of us blown up to go on the wall - I got an email this morning with a discount code for canvas prints from snapfish so think I'll get one done and maybe one of just us for the bedroom

ooh we got a set of 3 small pics for bubba's room in B&Q on sat they're monochrome photos of a little teddy, on one he's sat up, next lying on his side and next one on his head VERY cute!!
