Well I managed a half decent nights sleep last night - still feeling a little pooped but I'm getting cheered up by the forecast of sunny weather and 17 degrees
Can't believe I'm now less than 4 weeks from my due date... it's quite scary! On the one hand I want her out ASAP so I can move again and meet her - and on the other I want to pretend that I'm not pregnant at all and there will be no painful birth, no lifechanging event and life will magically return to normal and I've only imagined all this :rotfl:
Interestingly my nipples are quite sore again at the moment (added to the entertaining leakage last night...) which is annoying - it's not a skin sore but more like a bruised sore so it's not because they have rubbed against anything etc...
I also keep getting pins and needles in my arms and hands from the slightest pressure when I'm in bed which is really annoyingusually goes away as soon as I move again and shake the offending limb but it is irritating... anyone else get that?
Hmmmm guess I should get out of my night shirty thing... *yawn*... maybe even have a quick wake up shower? HmmmDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

The talk of cross trainers and weight gain prompted me to get back on the wii fit for the first time in 58 days, as it was pleased to remind me! I've gained 13 pounds since the start of the pregnancy (now 16+3), and only managed 14 minutes of fairly gentle exercise (I steered clear of anything which needed me to use my abs, or might cause me to hyper-extend muscles). Now feeling shattered, Oh dear!0

hee hee Tine I'm the opposite with pins n needles; if I move my arm quickly or shake it like if I wave its like I get stabbed all over my hand
much worse when my hands are swollen which is starting earlier and earlier each day esp with this 'hot' weather (was 21 degC here yesterday according to my car)
OH finds it most funny when I lie in bed with my arms stuck up like a zombie0 -
elle if you wait until bubs is here what about a hand/footprint or one of the bronze casts they are sooo lovely??
trying to check this, ebay eat breakfast and hope erin stays asleep just a little longer:D
My Dad is hard to buy for, but I've found that he seems to like what I call coffee-table books on subjects that interest him, like the town he grew up in, or aeroplanes (he was an aerospace engineer before he retired), or the make of car he has. Sounds boooring but he really likes them and keeps them ... on the coffee table!

Yes, finding out I'm pregnant has been motivating me to get back in the gym!! I've been terrible and only been once in the past month (), but I've brought my kit & trainers so I can go after work today! Weight loss now of course is no longer on the cards, but I want to be fit & healthy for baby - besides, I have too much flab in the way which make scans difficult
.
Dying to get a Wii+Wii fit, but never found the money. Definitely plan on buying a prenatal yoga DVD once the bump starts coming out, as it's always something I've wanted to do!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

You'd be best starting yoga as soon as you can - and go to a class so the teacher can personalise the poses for you as you get bigger. I do yoga but I did it before, and if you only took it up partway through being PG I'm not sure what benefit you'd get as now I'm 26 weeks I can hardly do anything compared to what I used to be able to (although I am spuer-bendy so expect a lot from my poses!). DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Don't start any exercise programs etc until you have consulted with your GP... They will probably want to check BP etc before letting your start exercising to make sure you are not going to encounter any problems for you or the baby... And make sure whatever you do you let the gym know you're pregnant! if you don't and something happens you would probably not be insured...
And take it easy... the elastin in your body will do weird stuff to you and you are a lot more likely to sprain and strain things...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Morning.
I am in a foul mood this morning as I have had a falling out with OH. We were supposed to be buying beanie's cot yesterday and I also mentioned that we needed to get some sort of storage for the nursery for all the bits and bobs (toys, bottles, breast pump, nappies etc). He got really cross and said that the room was too small. At the moment all these things are in a cardboard box in a pile on the floor (the big one the Boots huggies nappies came in). All I intended to do was buy a nicer looking box or a small storage unit which would fit on the same wall as the nappy changer so would not take up anymore space. He told me that he had only agreed to go and get the cot and if I wanted to get storage unit I should get it myself. He has been really moody since friday, when it was my birthday and we did absolutely nothing for it. We were supposed to go out for dinner last night to celebrate but of course that didnt happen. I havent spoken to him since 3pm yesterday and he slept on the sofa last night. We are just dancing round each other in the flat. I tried to reason with him and told him that he had let me get everything else for beanie and I had only bought the bare minimum at the lowest cost possible so why didnt he trust me that we need some storage. I asked him what he thought I should do with all the stuff on the floor and if he thought I should just leave it in a mess like that but he refused to talk about it anymore.
I think he knows he is in the wrong but that has made him get all defensive and sulk. Why is it when I havent done anything wrong, he makes me feel really guilty? I refuse to back down and call him this time though like I always do. I shall just wait for him to apologise. It is going to be really difficult though as I hate not speaking to him.
Right, I am going to try to concentrate on my work.
Thanks for listening to my ranting , girlies xxxxProud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
BTW had a really sweet conversation with DH last night
I'm so conscious of him being involved with this baby and bonding with her etc and I know it's really important to him too as his dad was a useless *****. He wants to be everything his dad wasn't - like being there for starters! (His dad !!!!!!ed off when he was about 5 and turned up again later when DH was about 18 at what point DH told him if he ever turned up again he should make sure he'd already booked a coffin and burial plot because he'd need it).
So we discussed loads of odd stuff about Roo and bonding with her etc and DH is a little disappointed that he can't really feed her to start with as we're hoping to BF but soon as she's well established on the breast we'll try to let him do some of the feeds with expressed milk so he can be involved too. He also wants me to go back horse riding as soon as possible (bless him!) - partially because he thinks I need a couple of hours a week that is ME time and it's exercise I enjoy and most importantly it means he would get daddy and Roo time with his daughter - just him and her which is very important to him bless... He doesn't mind if it's sleepy time for her or whatever, but he just wants to have daddy time with herDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
