Skinty, I'd stay up and get it finished tonight. I know you'll be knackered, but at least you will be able to go to bed and not have to worry about getting up earlier and tackling it then! :)

I think so too. especially as I have stuff to do tomorrow that I can;t get out of - dentist and piano lesson plus a mystery shop. Gonna be such a late one though.

OH and I both have January birthdays so we decided to have a summer baby cos January birthdays suck. But now I worry about it being the youngest in its year at school - there's no perfect time is there?

You know what though Elle, my OH is one of the oldest in his year and wasn't really academic at all. The cleverest boy in my year was born on 30th Aug so youngest possible in the year! I really think it depends on the individual, the parents etc. (Although I can see why it would be a potential disadvantage when they're 4/5 years old, just saying long term I don't think it's an issue)

Good luck Skint. Just think of that lovely feeling of relief when it's all done and you can climb into bed! x

Naughty Tine... Soft whip ice cream carries a lysteria risk ;)

Just ironed Aimee's uniform for the week... 5 little red and white check dresses... I love summer uniform! Now off to bed to watch Die Hard 3...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Well, if it makes you feel better, my bday is mid-August and wound up leaving school number 3 in my whole year! (lol, not trying to brag, honestly, but just making a point) By the time kids get to be 7 or whatever, a few months won't make any difference.

Tigs - good luck on your scan tomorrow! I can't wait to get my first one, even though it won't be for a little while yet.

Wow, some people have a ton of Dec/Jan bdays in the family! Is it just me, or does it seem like the most babies are born in September? (must be b/c it's 9 months after Christmas, :rotfl:)

Thanks for the BS Feelie, lovely to read your experience, you did so well! :T

    Elle, gorgeous scan pics :D

I had other people to say things to but I can't remember now!

RE the weight issue..I have put on 4 or 5lbs so far (almost 13weeks) but Im sure that must be about right? Well anyway Im not overly bothered.

Right, Im not asking for medical advice..just want to compare. At my 12 week scan, baby measured 55mm. All the websites and info Ive read about babys development at that stage seem to suggest a larger measurement is normal? Nothing has been said to me,or put in my notes to say baby is measuring abit small. If they thought there was a problem it would have been mentioned to me wouldn't it?
    according to my notes 55mm crown - rump measurement is spot on for 12 weeks :D (54mm = 12+1, 56mm = 12+2)
Jamie was due on 17 December but decided he wanted to wait until after Christmas! I had to open all his xmas gifts on his behalf :rotfl:.

I really didn't mind what day he chose as long as it wasn't Christmas Day itself ;).

    xx
I hope that's because you wanted to spend the day with Poppy? My granddad's B-day is 25th Dec and every year after we've opened our prezzies we phone him to sing Happy Birthday :D

Skinty (if ur still around)- I'd say stay up late, you may be tired but you can sleep in but if you get up early you're closer to deadline and will possibly feel really sick - I can't get up before 8am with out feeling rough :(

My b-day is 23rd June - Perfect!!! Almost exactly 6mnths between gifts :T My sis's is 10th nov and she got like Tine the joint present pooh-ness :p

Its a nightmare thinking of presents for Chris in Jan but bonus is I get them in the Jan sales:money: We planned this baby to come now, our ideal birth date was April - June but we got delayed by my IUS being 'lost/stuck' thank god we did it first time!

PAH!!!! I still fail to see where the risk is? Its made from pasteurised UHT stuff!:p:D

I thought it was all about how the machine might not be cleaned properly.. Dunno where I got that from!
  • No, it wasn't because of Poppy - I simply didn't want him born on that day or me miss out on my Quorn-turkey roast dinner! :rotfl:.

Similar with Poppy when she was late - I did not want her to be born on my birthday and she was very good arriving 3 days later! :D.

    xx
