    Good luck!

ps What is your DH on the radio for?

Ah perhaps I made that sound better than it actually is lol! He's on local radio as an 'expert' that they wheel out to comment; he's miffed though because when he asked where he should park, they told him the names of a couple of ncp car parks nearby:rotfl: ie they expect him to pay for parking - AND he doesn't get paid for the interview either:eek: NOT very MSE

Feeling a bit ropey (fluey? oo-er) but encouraged by my other ebay f/s items that have jumped up in price, I am now attempting to list, good luck with yours & I will report back later:D

Well, I couldn't get my phone to connect to my laptop for some reason so couldn't load my photos on - no idea why as done it hundreds of times before, it was just having a wobble! So I went back through my unsold items to see if there was anything I'd forgotten to relist and found 22 items :o

So have relisted all of them, can't take much credit for it as it was relatively painless but if it wasn't for a mini challenge, the phone debacle would've caused me to throw a tantrum and knock the whole idea on the head so thank you! Just hope someone wants the [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] unique vintage bric-a-brac this time around!

Hope your OH managed to blag his parking in the end ;)

Wow VERY impressive; puts my paltry 4 to shame:eek: But heyho at least we are both mini-challenging & we should get SOMETHING back for all our hard work. My problem isn't the pics but the descriptions - seem to take me forever! Not sure if just putting a single sentence wouldn't get as much as a massive detailed description tho:confused:

Still feeling carp, had a lousy night's sleep but am aiming to get more stuff listed for Sunday if poss, although DD is coming home for the weekend from uni :eek::eek: today - will need all her washing doing etc & also grandma has 70th bday meal Sunday - see how I am lining up the excuses already????? But I also need to list some items on my website, since they fetch a lot more than stuff on eBay, but involve more effort:D

OH got free parking :T I did listen in & it cheered me up as someone on the live phonein said the word b***ocks :rotfl::rotfl:

Cheering you on from the sidelines :T:T:T

That has really made me giggle - on both counts!:rotfl:My OH used to spend money like water until I found MSE, now he complains about the price of anything and everything! I am glad, really, but sometimes I wonder what I have created!

Sadly no one is bidding on my ebay stuff, shouldn't be surprised as it has been listed so many times its untrue! Still, I do believe there's a buyer out there for everything and one day it will go to someone who will be really chuffed with it, one man's junk and all that.

Oh, and on DFB news after hi-jacking the thread *ahem* ticker update:

    debt.png

and the HSBC CC is well under the £1k mark which makes me a very happy shrimp, need to put my thinking hat on for some moneymaking ideas to get it gone for good as soon as possible! For some reason the other debts don't trouble me as much, but the CC really gets my goat!

Me again - sorry f_f! Just tinkering with my calculator (I know how to have fun on my days off, me!) and I need to pay £780.05 to pass the 50% mark- which is uncannily similar to the balance of my CC! It has definitely become my nemesis now!

    Hi Shrimpy & everyone:j

Well I DID get the dreaded lurgy - have been feeling pants & unable to do much of anything at all - blech. However, today I am feeling better - thank goodness - planning on doing a bit of of ebaying. Did sell a couple of things - but 2 out of 3 STILL haven't paid & the auctions ended Sunday. One of them did email to say sorry etc, so we'll see. Daughters gig tickets sold - at a loss, but as she said, hmm that's TWO NIGHTS OUT

What is also making me feel better - & more motivated - is that I heard a competitor is also ill with the flue - but she is 'still too ill to answer emails' Well now I'm not:rotfl:So am outside taking photos, will need to work hard to update the site & perhaps steal a march on her :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hey this IS DFB news.....assuming the cash made will be going towards the DFB date. I'm still threatening to do the calculation of how much we've paid off since Feb, have to say though that this month it was a carp one for income - we're self-employed. The amount we got barely covered the mortgage:eek: Thankfully the next 2 months look like decent money so should be able to drive down the debt a bit:D

    Happy money-making all!!

    Morning all!

    I got paid last week
yahoo.gifand should have done an update then but was a bit rubbish! We have recently had a drop in income of £355 per month due to our lodger moving out, so the debt-busting has taken a backseat to just budgeting and trying to be good! Here are the figures...

    Starting debt = £6,993.88
    Current loan balance = £5,964.45 :j First time it's been under £6,000!
Amount in Instant Access savings = £82.41
Amount in No Access savings = £1050

So, I now owe £4,832.04!!!! First time this figure has been under £5,000 in a good few years!!

Now, myself and Mr Fresian know that the quickest way for us to have money again would be to get another lodger, but I bought my flat 4/5 years ago and have always had a lodger. I just want the peace and quiet for now!! If rates go up we will have to move someone else in, but for now I'm enjoying having the house to ourselves.

    New ticker below....

I don't think I'm going to be debt-free by 30 (13 months to find almost £5,000 is quite a challenge after all!) but I should be much closer to my target! Debt-Free by 31 has a good ring to it :D

    Sound all good f_f!

Though in my sig DFD is out by couple of years, it's just because I need to keep the money and only pay s.loan every four months. I'm still planning/trying to have DFD before my 33rd birthday so before November 2011. It's going to be hard work, but should be achievable with a lot of effort. I promise sig will look much better in late December/early January.
    DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!
Proud to have dealt with my debts!
