Hello DFB-ers! Been rubbish not posting here for the last two months- new job and then family stuff to sort. Hope you are all doing OK, and updating those tickers and I promise I will pop in and do my years total and percentages (started clearing my debt Jan 04 this year) prior to leaving the world of the internet for the Xmas break.
Have a great festive run-up!

Hi all!
Quick update from me:
Total debt is now: £4883.64
This takes into account my savings of £1018 which I take off the current balance of the loan. My debt isn't moving fast but I have:
Paid for Christmas without credit :j
Cleared my overdraft again before I get daily overdraft charges (It was only a couple of hundred pounds, but I wanted it gone! Now everything I PAD will go into an interest-earning savings account)
I have signed up to the Thrifty Gifty (Making Christmas 2010 as cheap/money neutral as possible) Challenge and also to the Live On 4k For A Year challenge although I'm aiming for 8k as I'm new
I would still truly love to be debt free by 30 (December 2010) but currently don't see how this will happen. We currently have a spare room but no urge to have another lodger, so this is going to be my Ebay/Gumtree room into which all stuff for sale shall go. I am going to do what I can to reduce the debt by half this year, if not clear it completely. Hurrah!
PS - MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas to you to FF!
I am 40 in November, and am still on track to be debt free by then with much hard work and effort.......I now owe just under £20k so still a lot to pay, but I have paid £20k each year for the last three or so years so no reason to think I can't do it again and be free!!!

Hi everyone,
I haven't posted in such a long while.
I am at the halfway mark, but not sure I will make it for my birthday in October but will certainly give it a go. I've had to slow down a bit from throwing chunks at the debt due to my contract coming to an end in February 2010 (which also coincides with when I have to pay my taxes).
Once I get a new contract I'll be able to go at full speed with the debt.
Hope everyone has a great new years.

Time for an update for the end of the year!

I'm still hoping to be debt free for my birthday in April but it will be very tough! Hopefully I will at least clear the cc even if I have to work at the OD for a bit longer!

Happy new year everybody!
Hope everybody has a great debt busting year.
I myself will be putting the debt busting on a bit of a back burner as I got engaged on Christmas Eve(OH surprised me with a ring behind door no24 of my advent calender) so will be planning a wedding- as MSE as possible :rotfl: my main aim for the next 18 months-ish will be to not increase my debt.
Happy New Year, again!
