Need to do more ebaying as well, will give the turbolister a try and copy your system F_F (hope you don't mind). Only ever used the turbolister once, not sure how to use it properly so that the descriptions are formatted - need to read up on it.
I find it really straightforward to use. Last time I listed a lot of things (A few years ago) I think they used to charge you to use the Designer tool, but it's free now - or seems to be :rotfl: That lets you use backgrounds and so on and makes your auctions look a lot nicer in my opinion.
Best of luck!0 -
I'm going to try to see it as a fun challenge to cut back to the bare bones.
Hey Hopeful34. That's the way I look at it.I like saving money by thinking "don't need that item of clothing / CD / book / can of diet coke" and chucking it at the debts ! And seeing stuff go on e-bay you thought was useless is always fun too...
Good luck with you're new date !! :cool:Debt Free 25th August 2010 with PAD !!TARGETS ::D

Hi FF,
Thankyou so much for your invite on my first post. It's so lovely to see people who just go "yeah I know where you're coming from - I was there too". It's a huge huge relief.
So, here I am. I came up with the challenge today at work and worked out it's 440days tomorrow until I hit 40 and I want to be rid of £11417.99 by then (August 24, 2010). If I could do that *and* have money left over for a gin on the day that would be fab
Thanks

Hi and welcome sazzab
I will put your debt-free date on the 2nd post with all the other challenge members.
As you're new to MSE you might want to check out Post #1 as I put links to all sorts of useful things, including my favourite thread, A Payment A DayThat thread is the reason I am down to one debt - according to today's snowball figures I should be debt free a month before my 30th birthday!
Good luck and well done on your LBM (Lightbulb Moment)

Hiya all.
Please can I join your challenge as well? I love my 15K Paper Hat Challenge and shall stay over there too, but I think this is the more realistic one for me at the moment.
My DFD date at the moment is August 2012, but in August this year when I've gotten rid of my last CC, I should be able to bring my DFD to February 2012, and as this is Debt Free Birthday Club Challenge, I thought I could try to bring it forward another 3 months, so I would be debt free by my 33rd Birthday in November 2011. Well, that's the challenge anyway!
Oh yes, I owe £12,162.05 at the moment, but this is likely to be slightly higher as my student loan is in euros and I don't get any statements and I'm still trying to pay off interest on it. Will update when I know better.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Well I've just got out all of my paperwork and double checked my figures and I actually added it up wrong the other day and owe 7556.59:mad: so slightly worse than I thought. Really frustrated that I can't do alot until I'm back at work after my maternity leave but don't want to wish my last couple of weeks off away!
Hoping to clear Next at the end of this month though and then start working on TSB and Debenahms - the others are interest free though do feel guilty owing Mum and Dad money but they know things have been tough as since I've been on maternity leave OH has lost all his overtime and had his hours cut so all in all between us we've had a paycut of about 1400 a month, which is why we've got into this mess!:mad:
Anyway - enough waffling - better go and entertain the kids!0 -
tirlittan, that's you added!
Welcome0 -
howskint? I have now updated your total, it's only £6 so don't be too upset!
You will soon be debt-free!0 -
