Sounds like a great plan f-f, go for it!
I'm planning to list a couple of things every couple of days so that i have different finish days and hopefully interested peeps keep looking - that's the plan anyway.
I'm almost managing to pay my target each month when I add minimum payments to PADs, but this will only work as long as we don't need to buy anything at all 'extra' so need to seriously up the income as there are sure to be big 'necessary' spends round the corner!

Going to put 2 items a day in a box for Ebay and photograph them beforehand. I'm going to upload to Turbolister as and when I have the time and upload the whole lot to Ebay every Sunday.
Do you think that will work?
F_F - this is very similar to what I do, and it is definitely easier. Turbolister is fabulous once you get the hang of it. I would always be thinking 'oh, there's no point listing now, I don't want my auction ending at 10.30pm on a Tuesday' etc etc but with Turbolister you can do all the time consuming stuff whenever motivation hits and still list it at a good time. As you can tell, I'm quite a fan
On a separate note, having paid my F&F to Lloyds I was told I would receive written confirmation from them. A letter arrived last night which I tore open excitedly only to find that it said "We notice from our records you have missed a payment. Please contact us immediately" You know, it made me laugh so much, I think once its sorted out once and for all I'm actually going to miss them and their incompetent ways! I've just made my first (and last) payment since last August!:rotfl:Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Hi All!
Couldn't pay £100 off of my CC card on Monday after all as the stupid bank was closed when I got in to town- silly me for thinking they would be open until 5.30pm like other banks in town! So, I paid it today instead. That made the total paid of £1330.
Then because I like to do stuff like this, I paid and extra £3 off of my HSBC card to make it £1333 paid off!
I've figured out, with the help of the ticker, that if I pay off £1360 that will be 20% exactly off of my debt, so by the end of the month I will pay off that bit extra. It's only £27 afterall! It may even be a bit over that once my min payments are taken into account... we'll see!
keep up the good work everyone!0 -
Well done Laura, that ticker looks amazing :j0

Morning everyone.
I hate money!!!!
Why is it when things seem to be going so well there's always summat ready to knock you straight back down! I thought i was doing a really good thing paying £500 off my loan, it certainly felt good, then i realised last week that i'd payed a bit more than i should of and left us a bit short. I got that sorted, then got a lovely bill from edf saying i'd been underpaying for 7 months and they have now put my monthly dd up to £75. I nearly died. I knew we'd been underpaying a bit but not by that much. So now all the extra i've been putting away will have to go towards clearing that before i can get back to my loan. I feel like i've taken 1 step forward and 2 steps back.
Hopefully i should be able to pay £100 off my outstanding £211 bill by the end of next week. Gonna have a rummage round the house and see if there's owt i can ebay.
sorry for the moan:o£387.39/£196.46

Soryy you're having a pants day nickynoo, every so often they seem to happen! You are doing really well though, so be positive and things will come good soon. Re EDF, are you able to view your account online? Mine is an online tarif and has the facility to enter meter readings online, so I do that once a month to ensure we don't ever fall behind.... Maybe thats something you can think about doing? Or if you can't do it online, there should be a phone number on one of your bills that allows you to call with readings. Sorry if thats teaching Grandma to suck eggs

F_F, after my mood yesterday, I am having a reset day, so can yo please amend my total on the front page to £5901.87. I will be starting this challenge again from today, and this time I will be doing it properly, and keeping up with my posting.
I promise!

Morning all!
Sarah - your total has been amended on the front page, so you're now reset.
NickyNoo - don't let the b*ggers get you down
LondonAndy - well done on the non-smoking. I see from the PAD thread you're doing really well! :T
I'm slowly getting back into the Ways Of The DFW (Sounds a bit Zen, doesn't it?!) I have received a cheque from Mazuma for a broken phone, packaged some things for MusicMagpie and have requested payment from Amazon for some things I sold. Not a lot of money in total - about £32 - but it all counts. It's also helping to shift some of the sh*te cluttering up my house :rotfl:
Speaking of which, I now have 13 items listed on Ebay. Some have multiple watchers, so I will be keeping a close eye on the auctions when the first batch finish on Sunday. I've also set up an account with GreenMetropolis which I'm going to use to sell books I think will sell reasonably quickly.
A lot of this money will not go to debts, but to my adventures in bridesmaiding (Found out yesterday!) as my friend is getting married in September. At least by starting to gather money now I will be less likely to use credit cards!
Lots of DFW adventures for me!
*edit* I like GreenMetropolis - 12 books listed in about ten minutes!!
