    Hi all.

Keep on fighting the debt free fight !!

Pay day yesterday - it felt great after a hard week at work.

Before I could spend too much I threw best part of a hundred quid at the Cap1 and now that's under £2,700 (with a missing tenner in HSBC's system still to be deducted)

Re-jigged a few spreadsheets and even though that still sounds a HUGE amount to clear, it's looking good for end Sept ;)

I'm back after having fallen by the wayside!
Had a few days away and booked a holiday - more debt if I'm not very careful:eek:
My total is creeping down very slowly, but hard to be sure as I am mid month with a few things!

Never mind - my cupboards & freezer are full, the wine cupboard full too thanks to the trip to France & bought new clothes for free thanks to Mr T's double your voucher scheme ..in fact got £58 pounds worth of clothes, used £15 worth of vouchers & also got £2.23 off grocery bill ... can't be bad!
OH has a ful week of work coming up too (thank goodness) so should need to spend very little for the rest of this month, touch wood!
    So it's onwards and upwards!!

No I think tat should be downwards lol!

Been a while since I last posted here. Just updated our debt total, it now stands at £18,017:eek: I am sure I can find £17 to round it off nicely!:D

As I am now 18 months (and 2 days) off my 35th birthday, this means I need to pay off £1,000 a month (plus interest:eek:) to reach my target. I seriously doubt that we will be able to do it, but will give it a go anyway! Sending off my Child Benefit and Tax Credits claims for the new baby today (registered her yesterday) so that should go up and leave a bit of spare cash each month to throw at the debts.

Hope all you fellow DFB's are doing alright and going in the right direction!

Ok, just logged onto online banking and paid £17 so our debt total is now a nice round figure of £18,000:j. Just need to figure out where to get £1,000 a month  I guess I will harrass everyone under the sun with my Avon books - and stop spending on myself :o OH is away on a training course this weekend so I will sit down and do some number crunching.

Hi everyone. Have just caught up and everyone is doing well. :D

I need to re-look at my figures after being caught in the wilderness again with problems over hubby's pay. He's self-employed and the erraticness of his pay sometimes throws everything off track, so i'm really pushing to add to savings.

With a 2nd child on the way, i don't want to be so vulnerable financially. When there's a substantial amount saved, i will pay chunks off debt. My PaDs will be focused on savings and my vanquis card for now.

Keep up the good work everyone :T

Evening everyone, just catching up with everything. I paid £500 off my loan last week. Girl in bank told me they would reduce my term as needed and they reduced my monthly payment instead, apparently she got it wrong. Oh well it just means i'll have to put the difference in to my isa till i've got another lump sum ready to pay. Really pleased tho coz my loan is now under £6000:j, ok so it only by £8 but i it feels really good to not see a balance of £6000+ anymore:D. Got a bit of a tight week this week. OH gets paid tomoro and 80% of my bills come out on the first and if my calculations are correct:rolleyes: i'm about £20 short. Looks like i'll have to do some re-jiggin.
    keep chipping away everyone

    Hi all DFB's!!

Hope everyone is doing well !!

What a fantastic weather day today (well, was in London, hope it was where you DFB's all are)

Month end so time to play around with the signature.

I managed to knock over £500 off the Cap1 in May - really pleased with that. :T:T

Hoping to bump around £700 off in June....well on the way to end Sept clearing date. Daily total average to pay looks scary but will keep me motivated. Won't make the actual amount every day but spreadsheet says it will even out around that if I make big PADs after each payday.

I need to go and get a ticker thingy, but for now...

    Debt now : £22,812

Achieved since LBM - 20.25% paid off
Achieved since DFB sign-up - 3.55% paid off

Next challenge : Hit HUMP moment on Cap1 (£2,350 - half way) ASAP !!

Going to pay £100 off of [STRIKE]Halifax[/STRIKE]Scabbyfax CC today. Can't make payments online due to awkwardness off [STRIKE]Halifax[/STRIKE] Scabbyfax. Will be done with them in a couple of months though... role on September (or sooner!) :D

Please can I join? Am I too late?

I have a total debt of £13,400 (1 years salary for me atm!) which is from me and my hubby from the last 8 years.

We have been slowly paying off for 2 years that we have been together (Debt started at £19,200 in 2007)

Our current DFD is August 2011 - as I would like to be debt free before my 28th Birthday. I reckon we could do it a lot quicker but for the moment 7th September 2011 is our target.

    13,400/26 months = £515 per month = £18 per day:eek:

    C'mon guys....we can do this!!!
    Sept 10: Loan - £7,460, Credit Cards - £1445, Car Loan repayments £2140, Personal Loan £1360- DFD July 2013 (0/34)
