  • Thought I'd better get back into the DFB flow again!
The money has been going down very gradually with the extra payments:j:j
Unfortunately my mortage fixed rate is finishing soon and when I went to discuss a new rate the girl suggested a consolidation loan:eek: - with a saving of £200 a month:rolleyes: - I smiled and said "no thankyou!" as it would mean a longer mtge term
Anyhow I have decided to continue chipping away at the old credit cards for the next 2 years as I have a little policy due to mature and it will pay at least the cr*pital evilone card off which will be great!!!!
    Take care DFB's:cool:
May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce:D

Oh dear poor FF. I imagine the conversation will not be very good on their way home... Still they may get to play the mighty Leicester City next season!

    Hi Folks

Another £30 sent to Asda la vista - only £83 plus this months interest to pay, which will hopefully be £5 or less so will definately pay that off by the end of May.

June is going to be a quieter month as I am going on holiday for 12 days and instead of using my PAD money for PAD I am going to use it for my holiday spending money.

Absolutley shattered after today's work. Roll on Bank hols...

Thought I would check in here as promised every now and again.

Well, MSE is so far helping me lots with my debt free journey....

Had a look at my credit reports and also ordered the score, just to check. I am glad I did as it's shot to pieces at the moment. I have a late/returned payment on my bank account back from when work paid my expenses in late in Feb (which I paid a day later from my own funds so will add a notice of correction for that) I am not on the electoral roll at the new place (faxed off the form today) and there is an old joint account open from four years ago with an old flatmate (who now does not work and lives overseas but I know has UK debts) so sent dissassociation for that. Phew.

Will take a while to clean up - I really wanted a 0% deal later in the year when the HSBC come up for attack. Egg is still tracking as open for 1 more month and will then close and Cap1 is on course for September clearing so I really hope this will help the score. Amazed O2 credit check let me through as I'm in the bottom 1/3rd of peeps at the moment. Grrr. Glad I wised up in January and started to tackle this lot.

Hope everyone on here is OK. Some great news stories going through. I am keeping up the PADs - just about hanging on in there until payday Friday!!

well paid £76.61 off the asda card today, and minimum payment due to go out tomorrow so hopefully that should clear it :j

minimum payment to Barclacard went out today as well. So that's a total of £106.18 paid off today.

    Morning all!

It's payday for me tomorrow, so time for my monthly update on my debts.

I was aiming to clear £6993.88 when I started this challenge. My outstanding loan amount according to Online Banking is now £6559.24 (This is just with monthly payments) I also have £370 in my Early Repayment fund and £36 in my Instant Access Savings, which is a total of £406.

    *thinks*

If I take the money in my savings off the balance of the loan, then I owe £6153.24 which means that my ticker should be moving along nicely!
