I'm on target to meet Lloyds F&F offer which is fab news

Plus I have had to lodge an official complaint against Lloyds as they seem unable to update my address despite several letters from me and insist on sending correspondence to my old address  have tried to sort it so many times but they just seem so incompetent

    Wow, that's great news! :D

Sounds like Lloyds have been a bit dippy on the changing your address issue. At least they've got it sorted now:rolleyes:

:DShrimpy - make a formal complaint about the address issue, send to their Customer Relations bods and quote the Data Protection Act. You never know, you might get a cheeky tenner to sssh and go away

    debt.png

Edging towards 20% paid off- getting there! :D

Ticker un-update. Have sorted out balance transfer to Virgin 0% card so have had to change figures adding in balance transfer fee :(

Still- small step 'backwards' to make some bigger steps forwards... :D

Another extra £30 to Asda la vista and £25 minimum payment to A&L today so that's another £55 gone - woo hoo. Now paid of over 2%.

Have also rejigged my finances and balance transferred to other cards. managed to pay off another £183 of my asda card at the same time but not going to update with my ticker with that as there may be a couple of transfer fees which will slightly offset that. Will do a new total as soon as I get all my account statements in and know whats where

Thanks both, already tried that hoping for some sneaky apology money but just got a 'sorry, it won't happen again'. Well, that's ok then

Although in fairness, if anyone had got hold of my account number they wouldn't be able to do anything with it as even Lloyds can't identify my account from it apparantly! Oooh less than two weeks and I'll be rid of them forever :D

    Dear Lloyds,

Please find enclosed XX weeks of correspondance during which time I had hoped you would be able to change my address. I am disappointed to note that mail has still been sent to my old address, from which I have no longer got a redirection in place.

I thought that as a large financial institution Lloyds would be able to comply with the terms of the Data Protection Act which prohibits unauthorised disclosure of customers information. As you have been sending post to a previous address I am now extremely concerned that I have been put at risk of identity fraud and that the Act has been breached. I have had to send XX letters at a cost of £XX, not to mention the time I have spent writing to you/calling in an attempt to put this right.

You wrote to me on XX apologising and stating that this would be the final error, however you will see from the enclosed that this was not the case. I would like an explanation as to how this error is finally going to be rectified.

    Love and hugs,

    Shrimpy

How does that look? Keep complaining and send directly to Customer Relations. Repeat ad nauseum until someone does something.

    Good luck!

    Morning all!

Off work and feeling miserable (Toothache is the devils own work) but this has given me time to play with my SOA :rotfl:

According to the snowball thingie, I will be debt-free by June 2010. It does assume that I won't spend anything that isn't noted in my SOA though, and we all know how likely that is :D

According to my SOA I have £561 available for debt repayments. Assuming I can be a Good Fresian and only fritter £161 of this per month, I will have £400 per month for debt repayment, which includes my £129 monthly payment by direct debit. If I can save the rest up and repay early, I will clear my debt in November 2010 - one month before I'm 30!! :D:D:D:D

    It can be done....

Thanks FF! I will tackle that asap - I WILL get that sneaky shhh tenner if it kills me! ;) Watch this space!

Forgot to subscribe to this thread so had a mild panic when I couldn't find it today-naughty Shrimpy! Good to see that the DFB date has moved forward, might potter off and resurrect my ticker/clicker/whatever they're called, you have inspired me!

I have a complaint letter to do around DPA myself - I got marketing material through from my bank who I have my home insurance with. I have all my preferences set to "No marketing" and I got sent mail asking me to take out home insurance with them. Which I already have

Going to send off a letter next week and include the post in it (Taking copies of course) as they have breached their DPA obligations by doing this. Aha!

Quiet on the DFBC front for me this month - I have paid for tickets to the Newcastle/Fulham game tomorrow, and the travel it entails for me (Toon!!) Hopefully it will be worth the investment!

I also paid of OHs loan (£623!) as he kept getting bank charges for missing the direct debit and I didn't want him to default. He's paying me back month on month. He has his own spreadsheet which I made up yesterday with colour-coding and boxes which add up automatically! I won't have made progress to my debt-free date this month I don't think, but I will be no worse off. Payday next Friday thank goodness...
