I've just updated my figures and I am £1,199.72 less in debt than on 1 April. Woo hoo! That is well over the £620/month I need to pay off to hit my target and be debt-free at 50.
I've added a line to my spreadsheet showing where I need to be each month to hit the target. It's a huge boost to get ahead in the very first month. I hope I can keep this up.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

I'm in a quandry. I was planning on overpaying £110 of one of my CC's. But I really need a new jacket/coat type thing for warmer weather. I have unfortunately got too fat for all my other jackets and I'm stuck wearing a winter coat or nothing at all
I'm considering spending £30-ish on a jacket.
Can someone please convice me £80 is still a reasonable overpayment? I really need a jacket and all my other money is budgeted out...0
