Will any of these work on permanent marker ? Local youth had drawn a long dark blue line on the front of our house !!!!!!! We know who it was, got a witness but still might end up cleaning it ourselves.
The front wall is rendered and painted a creamy colour so this blue line really stands out.It needs painting anyway but I know paint on its own won't cover it.

Next time you paint, do it in a satin finish as you can then remove fingerprints quite easily with stardrops. ;)

Can you try white spirit Mary? Probably won't get it all out but should minimise it before you repaint.

Did wonder whether white spirit would work or not or whether there was a quicker and easier wayto do it. To be honest I'm loathe to do anything at the minute..........have reported it to the police and need to wait till tomorrow to see what they say.

This happened to us! Some kids from the school across the road wrote some very overtly political graffiti about the Iraq situation on the front of our house and we live in a very multi-cultural area so it was bound to offend someone instantly!

Much to my surprise it came off with neat stardrops applied with the green side of a pot scrubber. I thought I'd have to use solvents too, but I think the fact that the surface was smooth helped.

If not, our local authority does have a graffiti removing team, which takes graffiti off all property (council or privately owned). We didn't want to wait for obvious reasons, but it might be worth checking whether your area does as well?

Not heard of anything like that around here but I'll ring the council tomorrow and find out. Woudn't be so bad but we're on the street leading to the secondary school and knowing kids, once a walls been scrawled on for some reason they always feel they must add a bit more:mad:
I'll get some of that stardrops tomorrow...........did tell OH when he got the shopping but he's so used to doing things his way....lol

I am a bit new to all this so please excuse and advise me of any mistakes !!! Does anyone know how to get off splatters of grease from the emulsioned wall at the back of my hob. I have had a little go, just dabbing not rubbing !! with cleaning sprays but too much paint is coming off and not enough of the grease spots.

I bet someone out there has a top tip, its just getting worse. I manage to keep things splatterproof but my husband does not !!! Even though I have told him!!!! Many thanks

not really sure, try heatingit up and the chuck talcum powder (i know it sounds silly but it might soak the grease up) or a bit of kitchen towel and a hot iron again to take the grease back to its natural state and soak it up with the towel.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
