First make sure your phone or anyother item is insured first, then block it if it gets stolen.

    Oh what???!!!
I've just trawled through 3 pages of this 'epic' tale expecting some kind of righteous ending, where Mandy got her phone back, and single handedly caught the worlds biggest phone thief....and while managaing to reclaim her costs via paypal!!!!...

I'm most dissapointed by the lack of ending.
    lmfao x

    Oh dear....it's a called a joke....i wasn't insulting her....why would i????? I have no need to!!!
I was actually quite interested in reading her post, hence why i trawled through posts about grammer and spelling that were completely irrelevant, hoping to see what the final outcome was.
But it seems that (maybe) because of people then calling her a troll etc, she has decided NOT to respond and that is why i left a funny, non inslutling, light hearted message.

I actullay quite like MSE forums, but some poeple on here are so quick to throw accusations around, judge people and be all PC about things....

The OP was happy enough to defraud the post office if the phone was stolen, if she was willing to do it in that case, has she done it before?

If she does come back I hope she gives us her Ebay ID, I for one would like to add her to my block list.
  • I wish everyone would stop attacking each other! A lot of the time I reckon the reason people make mistakes is because they're understandably p'd off. When I'm writing a post and I'm frustrated, I'm working on venting my anger at the keyboard and letting out my story, not concentrating on the grammer.

Anyhow just to say to the OP. Do you have the IMEI registered to your name, or do you have any written proof that this phone is yours? I'm assuming you have the phone, if I followed the story correctly then you won the auction?

If so even if the police don't do anything, Ebay may halt the sellers account if there is any question of selling stolen goods. If the seller is a robbing git, then at least they'll be stopped from doing this for a little while if anything.

If not then the seller will be inconvienienced and rather peeved at being accused. Have you explained any of this to your insurance company, we all know how tight fisted and closed minded they get when you even attempt to claim anything.

P.s I tried my best with spelling and grammer hopefully there are no goofs.

For new posters it might be worth another read of the thread. The OP 'lost' her phone, she suspects seller has it based on the look of the phone and where they are based..although she later says this seller sells a number of phones.

There has been no clarification as to how or why a 'thief' would risk selling on a blocked phone.

There is more to this than meets the eye, honest.

This is the info that OP is basing her reports on
on sunday evening an ebay seller listed a samsung u900, he lives local enough to of gone to the car boot, phone described as poor condition (i'd dropped it loads), its midnight black version like mine,
