I think that would be defrauding Royal Mail in the end, so if it is yours it's best to go the "true" route.Money_Saving_Mandy wrote: »Also the post lady left it by the back door. So if it is mine, then I will definitely be able to get my paypal refunded as they will have no proof of delivery..

I'd say forget it...it's only a phone.

Until I investigate more....
So basically you are as crooked as the person you believe stole your phone in the first place

Personally, I wouldn't lie and say that it was never received. Royal Mail may well blacklist you, so you would have to go and collect your mail from your local sorting office.
Also, the poor Postie will get a warning. Would you like to take the rap for simply using your head?, no, didn't think so.
BTW, make sure you only handle the item whilst wearing rubber gloves, and then only by the extreme corners. If it is yours, the last thing you want to do is smudge any of the sellers fingerprints. After all, they are part of the evidence.Never Knowingly Understood.

Too late! as OP said earlier her mum opened the package when it arrived! so no claim via the police now!0 -

Something certainly is not as it seems. The idea that the Orange branding alone on the received phone seemed to clinch matters..should I worry as every Orange phone I ever had has been branded like that!
I lost interest though as soon as OP showed they were crooked by suggesting a fraudulent not received claim.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's amazing just how naive people are around here. It seems quite obvious (to me) that the OP and her friend Esmerelda are one in the same - A TROLL !
Tell tell signs such as an unbelievable story, comments like 'what are your thoughts' and 'I hate to keep this discussion going' or 'I don't want to prolong this discussion' etc etc. Dead giveaways !
What a mighty fine job it has done in getting this thread to 3 pages full of nonsense ! It's a shame because this is a very useful site which as it becomes more popular is slowly being taken over by TROLLS. They must be sad people !0
