i AM ALSO A TECHNOPHOBE! Well done on your detox, it can be hard. Several years ago, when I started with ME I was suspected of having multiple food intolerances, particularly all forms of yeast. I did the detox and eventually yeast was confirmed. No doorsteps of buttered toast, no bread at all and no alchol!:eek:I coped for couple of weeks until went into cafe and man had piece of bloomer toast on his plate and I asked him for it!! I am normally very shy! OH HOW AWFUL! I didn't go back there for months.

Hi Swinstie - the reason I asked about what your house was worth was to try and help you stop beating yourself up about your debt. (Not to encourage you to remortgage again which would probably be a mistake (we made it a few times ourselves!)

If your house is worth twice what you paid for it and if you had to sell you could cover your debts several times over then I don't really think there is any case for "shame". (I'm not saying other people should feel shame either so don't misunderstand me). I don't think that you are going into your relationship with your partner that unequally either... ?

huzzah! Found your diary :D Hope your detox is going well over the weekend.. I'm planning on embarking on a bit of a 'diet' next week- no bread, no chocolate, no crisps. And homemade soup for lunches. I'd love to say no alcohol but I'm not that strong! :D

    Morning everyone,

Well managed to get over the horrendous headaches of last week so think have finally kicked my caffeine addiction, yeah! Had major back pain though which put a bit of a dampener on the weekend but then the sun came out and all was well. Even managed the gym, but then crawled home with the back-pain, not good at all.

Had a lovely (grilled) breakfast on Saturday and since had no lunch and couldn’t be bothered cooking, we had a Chinese for dinner, beef curry and boiled (not fried) rice, did have some chips and prawn crackers but you can’t blame me for that!

Pub was ok, but didn’t enjoy it so much on soda water and lime and getting asked if I was expecting (I must be more of a drinker than I realise) cos everyone noticed I wasn’t drinking. A bit embarrassing when OH is standing there though!

Sunday was great, went for a drive then a walk and had some lunch and my new non-alcoholic tipple of blackcurrant and lemonade. I did manage to buy a couple of ‘items’ but OH paid for some of it as an early anniversary present.

Hi Laura, good luck with your diet, I’m sure you’ll be fine. I can sympathise with the chocolate though, I had to give in on Saturday and have a milky way but just a wee one, honest!

Robsmum, congrats on your 2 NSD’s, I’ve been bad but it was holiday stuff so doesn’t count!

Savingholmes, thanks for that, I know what you mean now about not beating myself up about my debt, luckily I think my house is worth at least triple what I paid for it, so it doesn’t make me feel so bad. I did at one point think about re-mortgaging but my debt is manageable at the moment so will take your advise and count myself lucky I could pay it off if I had to.

So here to Day 7 of the detox and managed so far on Shreddies for breakfast and a bottle of water. Got a yoghurt, ryvita and cream cheese for lunch, don’t think that’ll be enough. Argh forgot my fruit, maybe I could sneak to the canteen, they can’t not sell me fruit, can they?!

Well ended up with soup for lunch, only 60p so that's ok. Have still got my yoghurt and ryvita/cream cheese for afternoon snack thankfully.

Worked out my spend over the weekend, £16 on a few toiletries and food, £10 on petrol, would've been more but the petrol pump was as slow as treacle! £10 on lunch/drink (soft drink) and I dread to say but I spent £20 on a top, £20 on a skirt and £26 on jewellery (it was gorgeous and for hols so doesn't count), so £66 but OH gave me £25 towards it and I'm taking the skirt back cos I already have one the same, so really only spent £21. Oh and £5 for the Blottery, so £62 in total , doesn't sound like much when you list it separately. Only got about £20 to last me til Friday but should be ok, I think!

Off to do some work now, laptop hopefully be here today, yeah!

Oh I wish I could have the same willpower you do when it came to food, I try to be good but just end up eating carp half the time. Well done. xx

Yes, very well done on the soup - I've also had soup but topped it up with about 17 pieces of Galaxy (someone got it for me at Easter so would be rude not to wouldn't it?!) Tut tut on the jewelery though - £26! I'm not sure Holiday Jewelery can be a distict category from jewelery can it? Surely that's cheating! Ha ha!

I did go to Matalano at lunch-time to see if I could find cheaper jewellery the same, but it was all cheap rubbish - this was from Oasis and was lovely peachy stuff - did I say I was taking my skirt back! :D

Oh I so could go some Galaxy right now - some bad person has brought in four boxes of biscuits and I love them all - gonna open them and have a sniff to keep me going!
