Hi just popped in to say well done on all your progress:T:T:T Your signature is looking good...
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Hi Swinstie:)

Didn't know you didn't have your own diary - you've posted on mine so it's my turn to post on yours now you've got one.

Hope you are doing well with the detox. I've been trying to lose a bit of weight for my holiday but despite cutting down have managed to put on 2lbs:mad:. I walk 3 miles to work every weekday and we converted DS's old room into a gym when he moved out so I am in there every day after work. Like you I'm not overweight, but as I lost a stone with WeightWatchers 7 years ago and have kept within 5lbs of my goal weight ever since, I have to be very careful. So like you as from today nothing is to pass my lips unless it is accounted for on my WeightWatchers Points spreadsheet I have concocted. I'm not cutting out alcohol though just drinking at weekends - but hopefully cutting down a bit as once I get the taste of wine I'm off!

I'll subscribe to your diary so I can see how you're getting on. Good luck!

    Hi Shaggydo and Sun Addict!

Thanks for the encouragement! Just had a call from the Doctors reminding me to go and see the nurse to be put on a low fat diet cos of cholesterol - thanks for the reminder, lol!

Had shreddies and bottle of water this morning after taking my detox tabs, one I'm sure was a horse tranquiliser (it was rather big). Had some home-made tuna pasta and a yoghurt for lunch and some herbal tea - can't believe I can't drink tea, this is going to be a long 28 days :D

Sun Addict, the 2lbs you put on will be muscle :D Honestly, I mean how can you exercise and still put on weight, it's got to be muscle. I used to walk everyday and have noticed the (slight) weight-gain since I stopped (moved office - nowhere interesting to walk).

Hope you are getting on well with your own diaries - think I've subscribed to yours too Shaggydo, will need to check, mmmm.

Thanks Swinstie would love to think the 2lbs was muscle but as I've been doing this much exercise for the past 15 years I don't think I can use that excuse anymore :o. It is pure picking at things that aren't pointed I'm afraid and you know what they say "little pickers wear bigger knickers"! So as from today I'm going to stop picking - I'm sure this is all I need to do as I stick to the diet mealwise it's just the extras that aren't accounted for. When I used to go to WeightWatchers meetings one week the leader said write all your points down on your tracker as usual and she then gave us all a piece of paper to write down all the things you weren't going to put down on your tracker. Most people had a day's worth of points on that bit of paper and it opened a few eyes as to why they weren't losing weight.

I'm going to update my own diary more regularly now as I think it helps if you keep up with it and I'm not having a very good month so far!:(

Just a wee update before I log off for the night, really must get broadband and a laptop but have spent most of the day getting more and more bamboozled about what's the best ones, should really just make a decision :D

First day of detox has been very successful, managed to survive on a bowl of shreddies with skimmed milk, two bottles of water (500ml each),
tuna sweetcorn pasta, one cup of South African Rooibos & Honey Infusion (herbal tea in other words), a yoghurt and two clementines! I. Am. Starving.

Have a Body Balance class tonight so it's straight home, changed then out again. Got an apple for before the class cos I might faint otherwise.

Onwards and upwards as they say.

Haven't spent a penny either, well I have but not the money kind, lol

    Well done skinny!

Laptops - its totally not MSE or DFW to say this because they are so expensive - but can I put in a little word for Macbooks (no relation to McDreamy;)) - have fallen in love with Apple Macs in all shapes and sizes. They are expensive so it would have to come under the heading of 'investment' - but check them out.
Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Thanks everyone, it's weird but I actually feel better already although it could all go downhill pretty quickly once I get to the weekend and realise I can't have alcohol

Went to Body Balance last night and it was a different instructor, she was a bit too fast, the usual girl does it really slow and gentle, you are still in agony though so you know it's working. Only problem was part of it (and I still don't know why) is to do The Crab  I haven't done the crab since I was 10, why anyone would want to do it then come down looking like their face is about to explode, it baffles me, needless to say I didn't even try, I'm a wimp!

Well looking at my breakfast/lunch combo for today and it looks suspiciously like what I had yesterday, except there is a yoghurt drink instead of an apple - will need to go for more provisions I think although didn't spend any money yesterday and trying to go for a double whammy by not spending today (got the OH bringing garlic bread for dinner) - well saves me buying it eh ;)

Will look at the Macbooks Rupe, if only to drool over them cos my budget probably won't stretch that far!

Catch up later, cos guess I better do some work x

Have just bought a laptop - yeehah :j

Rupe, had a look at the Apple ones and whilst they are gorgeous and scrummy, I really couldn't justify spending that amount on my very first laptop :o. Instead I have got an Acer Aspire that someone recommended to me and it looks quite snazzy, should have my grubby little mitts on it by this time next week. All I need to do now is get my broadband set up, just gonna go with Virgin who my phone is through cos too much hassle otherwise - Sky refused me cos I don't have a BT line. Will try and get a better deal later on. So all in all a productive day, have even stuck to my detox, had shreddies and skimmed milk, bottle of water and tuna pasta which is still tasty even two days in a row.

Making lasagna tonight but think might have boobed, cos made chilli last night and having trouble fitting it all in my freezer - anyone for chilli?? :D

Will have to update my signature, putting laptop on credit card but will probably pay it from savings when the bill comes in, also have to re-do budget. Have kept a spreadsheet for the last six months and have probably spent over my budget although have saved in other areas - my soa is gonna end up looking rubbish again - damnation...
