    Evening all,

Quick post as battery about to die on me! Not much to report today, office move going well and all looked nice and tidy, wish could say the same about the house. Have started on the wardrobe as TV guy coming on Wednesday and will need to get access to the topbox in the room, also got some more stuff for car-boot sale which we are having on Sunday. Been asking sis for weeks and now we are doing it, I am hastily trying to find more stuff, forgetting I have a smallish boot so won't get it all in. Can always have another one.

Anyway watching House just now then bed cos so tired. Couldn't even be bothered making dinner tonight, ended up snacking on biccies and tea .

    Nite all x

    Hi all,

Feeling a bit more positive today about the house, can't wait to get home and get started - as video broke down I no longer need the mountains of blank (but taped on) videos so packed all those up last night, wondering if could get rid at carboot sale as seems like a waste, there's got to be some people still in the dark ages like me, ha!

Anyway had a nice lunch of ham roll, strawberries & yoghurt which was yum, even got dinner and lunches sorted for most of the week although not decided what having when IFKWIM. I have baked potato (with something), lasagna and chips/veg, OH is bringing something on Wed to have with probably chips/veg (again), so might only have Friday to worry about. It's ok when cooking for myself but OH will be down (maybe he will treat me to a Chinese)!

'Jar' money that I thought was going well, isn't. Sis bought me a ped-egg (for feet) that I forgot about so need to pay her for that, it's my nephew and mum's birthday's next week, got cards but not budgetted for presents yet. Supposed to be going to a day out on Sunday, should be able to take own booze, but got train fares to think about  .

Oasis concert next week, niece's school show next week (still to pay for ticket) and essentially another weekend to go before pay-day. I can see my overtime money (which I won't get til July wage) disappearing before I even see it.

On a more positive note, although not paid yet, I have put my June payments into my spreadsheet and I will finally be under £10K (only by £8 but who cares)! :j

Does anyone else just want to get paid to make payments and see the debt coming down?! Or is that just me!?

Also, phoned Halifax to transfer money and they put me onto the Internet Banking section as I had been having problems registering. Turns out I had registered (which I knew, but didn't receive a confirmation email with login details), but it was in 2001! The guy gave me my Username and is sending a password in the post, so I can keep a track of my money a bit better and save a fortune by not phoning the bank all the time!

Ok, lunch nearly over and so is this mega post, trying to update everything now so can concentrate on the house this week.

Argh just remembered, have the dentist tonight for a check up so that is more money, and even worse, I have no toothbrush

    Hi Swinstie

I know just what you mean about not being able to wait until you get paid so you can pay some more off debt - it's not just you, I'm the same. OH gets paid weekly and, as I know my wages will cover the bills and food money, I've started a spreadsheet for the other things such as holiday, debt, spending money, etc which are to come out of his money and I'm doing it on a weekly basis. This week I'm working on putting the holiday money away, next week it will be the debt! I'm hoping to be under £2k at the end of next week.

Re dentist - I always keep a spare cheap toothbrush and toothpaste in my desk drawer. It certainly comes in handy from time to time!

I internet bank with Halifax and it's brilliant - so easy!

    Enjoy your housework!!!

    Hey Swinstie,

    How's things?

I def know how you feel about payday - we're wishing our lives away really! I've just made the decision to go it alone and stop using payplan  so far creditors have been really helpful so hoping it stays that way.

    Hope you're having a good week x

    Hey

How's the money saving going? I now have a filling but am £45 lighter!

Like Sun Addict and Karen, I agree with you about waiting for the next pay day. I used to wait for pay day to have a spending splurge but now wait for the day to reduce my debt.

Well done on getting sub-£10K. That's a great achievement. Well done. I hope to be there next month! Playing catch up.

Re: all the birthdays etc. I have started a pressie box. I find bargains in sales etc and I have a list of people that I need to buy for. If I see something that would fit, then I get it or if there is a bargain for generic things then I get those too. I bought a few 'baby presents' at Christmas and a good thing too because this year has been the year of the baby where I work!

  • I do the surveys - eg: Valued Opinions and PCone and with the vouchers I receive I then use them for presents. Works out quite well!

ETA - I don't give the vouchers as presents but use them to pay for gifts.....

    Evening all,

Not been on much recently, having a bad time with cramps - men have it so easy! OH came down last night and brought dinner, he even done the dishes to place isn't looking too bad!

Taped Grey's on the V+ box last night and watching it just now, but it ended up re-booting itself, not a scooby why, so had to start it again. Bath after as nothing much else on then an early night for me I think. Think have worn myself out trying to pack up the office, the new girl (although lovely) spent more time talking to people she knew than actually helping so was a bit peeved off, probably just the hormones talking! She did offer to come in on Monday to help un-pack, so grateful for that.

Well signing off the night, have a good one xx

    Evening all,

Well first day in the new office tomorrow, so will need to get up at least half an hour earlier to make lunch etc. Could actually go to bed right now, have been up early yesterday and mega early today (car boot sale) and along with my hayfever, I am so sleepy. Was going to watch Hope Springs, but think might tape it and go to bed - yes at 8pm! If I thought could sleep right through, I seriously would.

Car boot was a disaster, can't remember how much stuff I sold, but I made a grand total of £14 profit (£10 entrance fee), so it was really bad. Came home with everything, might give ebay a try but have never sold on that before, so not sure about it.

Managed to get some dollars at a higher rate yesterday, probably about the only good thing to happen. Didn't spend too much over weekend but budget is looking a bit bleak, might have to tweak it for next month.

Have a nice nite everyone, my head is splitting so gonna go for a lie down and hope I sleep through the nite xx

Good luck with the office move tomorrow.

Re Ebay - I finally overcame my fear of it last month. Start off slowly. I put up 5 things on my first go and sold 3. I've not made a huge amount but I am slowly building my confidence. I have re-listed a couple of things in the hope that they will sell. Try listing a couple of things to start off with.

    Catch up during the week.
