Well, received both Les Paul and Fender style guitars. Build quality isn't bad for both. Tunning is held reasonably ok even with the cheap strings! Action is a little high on both and and no much scope for adjustment without getting fret buzz. Necks on both were nice and straight. Sound and action from LP reminds me of Saxon LPs from mid 70's - not bad! Pot's and switches don't seem too bad - time will tell - but of course not in same league as the real pro product - not as heavy and smooth! The Fender feels a little cheaper than the LP and reminds me more of a Telecaster rather than Strat, but not bad for an intro. Both guitars are very playable compared to many previously sold cheap copies - which put off a lot of new players! Some new decent strings will help to improve sound and for the more serious, a set of Dimarzio's to take the overall ound to the next level! The little amps do the job - nice to see the distortion option. Not bad little packages for the money and should bring hours of pleasure for both old and new axe people out there without breaking the bank! Overall, my preference is the LP which just feels like it has a little more quality but the Fender ain't bad!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0 -

I got one fore Xmas for DD. Unfortunatley the amp just starting humminmg after a couple of days but I could only return it with rest of the kit but DD didn't want to send back her guitar from Father Xmas so ended up buying a replacement amp from ebay. So in the end I spent about £75 in total.
The thing that surprises me is my review is missing - I only gave it 2 stars, I suppose, possibly, the kit I bought had a different item number. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

They did offer to take the TV back but it was a load of hassle and just before Christmas so I didn't bother (I think sometimes that's what they rely on) but I've never been happy with that TV.
