OOhh thanks i'll give that a bash.
It says on there about people saying there machine clogs, have you ever had that problem, and how much do you use?
Sorry to be so nosey :-[0 -
Like it says about half a teacup, and to avoid clogs i make sure the gloop is in the middle of the wash, or else run a hot was from time to time. If you make a particularly thick batch of gloop (it doesnt always turn out the same:))you can put it in the nets which come with laundry tablets, this makes sure it all dissolves.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Have now done 2 dishwasher loads:-
1 with half a tablet and 1 with tsp of wash powder, couldn't tell the difference from when I use whole tablet so hope to save loads of cash now!!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

have you noticed that the sachets of soap liquid have now been doubled in size so you HAVE to use that much its impossible to halve those without making a mess and all that, im sure they are wracking their brains of making the tablets impossible to halve as well,
I only ever use one tablet, and for darks and blacks I use the cheapo powder I think tescos is the best at 59p. its also, as man about the house says, not as scenty for the dishwasher.
I save the expensive stuff for the whites and light things
I recently bought wash balls from kleeneze that require no powder you just put the ball in with the wash, now, I put my washing through again on cold minus soap when its finished to thoroughly rinse it, I stuck the ball in and you should have seen the soap!!!! it was half way up the porthole !!! these wash balls are great for people with exzema and skin allergies apparently
only thing was it said you would get 100 washes out of one ball but ive done about 12 and Id say its almost finished
im going to give it back to the kleeneze man when he comes to ask them what happened to the other 88 washes!!
exellent for the washing though
to see just how good it was, I got the dogs cushion cover out of his basket, it was pretty grim full of stains and all that . he eats his shmakos in there as well so it gets really dirty
it came out snowy white no stains
( i give him a white one so I could SEE the muck, same reason I have a white kitchen and sink lol )0 -
Did my first wash with a tablespoonful of Daz last night. The dishes came out cleaner than when I'd used the proper dishwasher tablets!
Thanks guys, know what I'm going to use from now on!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Cathy can you get those washing balls anywhere else? My daughter has allergies which affect her skin so would be very useful!
Daughter is getting the message at last and has had an argument/discussion (lol) with her boyfriend over the amount of washing machine tablets to use. He was very insistent that you should follow manufacturers instructions and was quite upset when she only used one tablet, but she perservered and the result - his washing came up just as clean and now he is saving some money as well. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I bought some wash balls from QVC about 10yrs ago and wasn't that impressed, but then I've not been happy with any of the cleaning stuff I've got from QVC.
Which? Magazine tested then against washing in warm water alone and claimed there was no difference and they were a con, so I havn't given them a second try. I would be very interested to see if others find them as good as Cathy does.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -

I tried those washballs from QVC a couple of years ago and have to agree. I sent them back before the 30days for a refund.0
