  • Hello all.

    Bank - Barclays
    Amount claimed - £1970
    Received - £1170

Started my claim last May but got a letter back telling me that i'll have to wait till the court case is over etc.

Then begining of this year, i wrote again with the financial hardship story, got a budget planner thing back for me to fill in, was actually quite shocked when i filled it in to find out how much i actually pay out every month!!!

Anyhoo, checked my balance online this morning, was most suprised to see a credit for £1170, and now for the first time in a long time i'm not in the red!!!:j :j

Never received a letter from them or nothing, it says under the amount that it's a good will gesture, i'm hoping to get the rest at a later date!!

Thank you Martin and everyone on here for all your help and support!!:T :T
  • Bank: NatWest
    Amount claimed:£4150.00
    Amount refunded:£3030.00

This was my hubbys account that we reclaimed on and a business one at that so didnt think we would get anywhere with it at all. However we only sent the 1st letter in last week and he had his offer a week later!! Not the full amount asked for but we didnt really expect this cos as I said to him indoors you have to expect to pay some charge cos he did go overdrawn!!
What made me chuckle was that Natwext did not admit any fault and made this offer 'as a gesture of goodwill'
Im trying to get him indoors to do the same with his personal account now!

    Thank you Martin :T

  • We put in a claim under financial hardship in october - charges of £2510.00 plus interest of £576.
Received a letter in December offering £350 goodwill - my OH (whose account it is) phoned and asked if they could increase it a litte and they paid £938 into his account. We were quite happy with this outcome as understood that they are still waiting for the court case etc.
However yesterday out of the blue we got another letter saying that they had reviewed his case and sent him another £1199....more debts paid off straight away!!! :T

    Bank - BARCLAYS
    Claim - £2510.00 plus interest of £576.
Recieved - £938 in January and who hoo another £1199 yesterday so total - £2137!!!

Thank you so much lovely MSE'ers - due to your advice and support we have paid of 25% of our debt in just 6 months

    Bank Natwest
    Amount reclaimed £3496
    Amount paid £2652

I had all the statements going back six years, as it is a business account.
Sent a template letter on 22.01.09,
Received letter 5.2.09, to say they were looking into it and would take 6-7 weeks.
Received a letter 6.2.09 (the next day) with an offer of £2652, after considering it overnight, sent the acceptance form back the next day.
13.2.09 - checked my balance this evening and the money is in my account.
Big thanks to Martin and all on this website, reading others success stories made me reclaim, but I didn't expect a result so quickly, I didn't even realise until after sending in the claim business accounts are not covered by the court case.
    Good Luck to you all
