  • Great thread - thankyou NID.

When sending this letter, do people just send by 'normal' post i.e. straight into a postbox, or is it better to send by recorded delivery?

    Thanks

LOL, glad you're all liking the template but the lenders will laugh when they keep getting the same letter through the post hahaha - kinda funny me thinks!

Well done on those that successfully appealed, remember the more info you give the more chance you have...... If it was failed credit score, not much point appealing as they can't really be appealed - well they can but hard to override as in a nutshell they are saying you do not meet their minimum requirements....

Any other appeal successes to discuss?

I recently appealed my HSBC (I bank with them) credit card decline and successfully had it overturned, £3k limit so can't be that bad. I did, however rely on using my behaviour score with the bank which I knew was already more than high enough to qualify for the best rate and higher limits...... I only asked for half of what i'd been pre-approved (before the dcline of course)....

This is now my best card as it is 0% BT for a whopping 15mths which I must say is rather super...... Also my highest limit.

Not bad for an appeal if I say so myself...

Would anyone advise sending a copy of latest credit report with a decline letter?

Can do, if it isn't 100 pages of course (like mine)....... wouldn't do any harm and would probably show them stuff they 'usually' wouldn't see....
