OK, this is a very rusty 1st attempt at my buttonhole! Lots of fine tuning required but you get the idea!

I have had such a productive weekend, got sooo much stuff done now.

Latest items, made teddies for my flower girls, me neice who is 7 and my daughter who is nearly 2.

(Got two extra, taking one to the cemetery and giving the other to a friend)

Saw them on ebay for around £10 each ready made. I got all 4 bears for less than £10 and decorated them myself.

Oh SP, am loving your guest book!! Is it A4 size? I'm after about 8 x A6 size for all my tables, but no idea where to start!! If you dont mind e asking, where did you get the card etc from - is the front cover thicker card too?
I think it looks wonderful - well done!!
    :p

  • Louise - it's very simple, just use a hole puncher (with strength!) at both ends. Just make sure you measure up correctly for the cover and the inside pages! It would be a hell of a lot easier if I had an "industrial strength" one. p.s. love the teddies - soooo cute :)

Nat - buttonhole is GORGEOUS! well done :T

Debs - thank you :o I had toyed with the idea of something in the corners (i am a symmetry FREAK!), but thought maybe something under the middle card might look better....maybe mini bouquets or cake or something?

MsHelsBels - hiya, spoke before i think? I was going to do A6-ish ones, one for every table, but I had set about doing them in a REALLY posh manner, so they looked like little books, but the insides got messed up on some pages because of using glue (USE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE if goingdown this route) - picture the old "fold a piece of paper in half, paint one side of the line half a pic, fold together, voila" so to save me from being driven crazy i decided to play it safe and make a big one. Yep, the front card is thicker than the inside ones. I sourced the card from a mixture of my local craft market and The Range. Definitely give it a go, but plan very well before you do it - I got caught up in the excitement the 1st time round :o:p

I've done another couple of stalks for my buttonholes that are a bit different to the one I posted earlier. What do you think?

Another option would be to have clear beads the whole way up the stalk (but the same as above) and a fuchsia crystal on top? I don't want to overdo the pink though!

I'd be grateful for your opinions!!!!

I like the idea of the pink at the bottom and at the top.

You can do lots of different ones really, since you are following the same theme throughout, you can get away with anything, so you can experiment with lots of different ways.

Look forward to seeing your next ideas :T
