I thought it would be really nice to compile all the fantastic things people have been making for their weddings into one thread.
Invites, Thank you cards, Flowers, Favours, Cakes, Cake Toppers etc etc.....please share some pics and maybe a little description how you made the item, where you bought the items and even how much you saved by making them yourself.
Hopefully we can all continue to inspire each other :j:j:j

Louise - your flowers are fab!!! Well done you!
Do you think I'd be able to make this myself? Going to give it a go I think! Going to Hobby Craft in a couple of weeks, do you think they'll sell the wire and crystals there?
I'm getting brave in my old age!!! Planning on making my own invitations too!!!!0 -
Great idea!
So far i've hand made:
Invites (pics to follow - i am SO proud of them!!)
In the process of making:
Mini guestbooks (not sure if those will actually happen though...)
Fimo cake toppers!! (So much fun but VERY time consuming, so takes some motivation)
Centerpieces (not much construction here
)
Can't think of anything else atm...but know i have several things I'm doing myself
Oh yes, will be doing seating plan too......if I could only figure out the actual seating - it makes me panic just thinking about it :eek:0 -
P.S. BEAUTIFUL table decorations!! Well done!0

i made my table plan with some backing board, red card, paper with nice italic handwriting-y style font and some little craft red hearts, cost about £3 for the materials, ebay want £40 odd for an A1 table plan!)

Mum is making my dress based on a vintage vouge pattern from the 1950's, using all natural materials so I can alter and dye it later and use it many times again.
Nan and I are making the cake, decorated using chocolate straws that have 'bloomed' and were given to me by a friend who works for a dessert company
flowers from a stall in spitllfields market and constructed 2 days before into bouquets
invites from https://www.weddingdiy.co.uk printed at home and made by me in front of the telly
favours/name cards stamped by me again in front of the telly
thats all so far, but having really good fun doing it :j0 -

I'm making my own fresh flowers, hand tied and flower balls for the girls. Also button holes with Peonies pink...and crystals

My Wedding theme is baby pink and black, my dress is baby pink.
Buying cake from Markies and decorating with black butterflies/soft pink ribbon.
Also buying fab pink and white swirly lollipops with labels on them with our details of the \Wedding.
Leona xEnvy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0 -

I think they look quite easy to make - they are lovely, not something I would have thought of, they are really eyecatching!
Dunno about Hobbycraft, my local one only opened last week and I haven't had a chance to spend 6 hours browsing inside yet (hehe) but I bet you can get stuff easily on ebay as well.
Look forward to seeing the results!:j
Edited to add: Had a quick look on ebay and there are loads there:
