I heard from the Court this morning (24th April 2009) which advised me:-
'The Court sent to the defendant by first class post on 22nd April 2009 and will be deemed to be served on the 27th April 2009.
The defendant has until the 11th May 2009 to reply'.

If they're hounding you for money just tell them to use the £51 they charged me for 3 months usage when I'd already cancelled my account and no longer had broadband with them.
In the end I gave up trying to get it back as it was like going in circles and I was glad I was shot of them.0 -

And if he does win it cites precedent and then the many others in the same situation will be able to use it to sue Orange.
I thought I was alone with them billing me for money I dont owe, certainly the local CAB hadnt heard of the like, but this thread shows there are others and thats just those of us who use MSE and have come across the post.
So how many people are orange screwing nationally, just because they're incompetent?

This is exactly what I am after because of two years Anxiety caused by Orange Harrassing me for money which I do not owe. I am aged 66 and my Wife 61, do not owe any money anywhere and are trying to enjoy our Retirement. Worrying letters and telephone calls from a Debt Collecting Agency do not help.
