This is what Ive been saying.
No, Im just angry that AB is allowed to ply his trade and poke fun at people who are vulnerable and struggling. Apparently your only beef with me is that I used the word "most" instead of "some" in a previous post, which doesn't make much difference to me really. I don't know why you feel you have to jump in to argue with me, when my disagreement is just with AB.
I could go back and edit my post to change it to "some" if you like. It doesn't change the fact that it is a horrible thing to say that anyone with depression is simply attention seeking. If you look back at AB's history you will see he pokes fun and is nasty about all sorts of people who are suffering with these terrible conditions. How someone who claims to be a therapist can successfully treat clients (if indeed that is what he does) with depression when this is what he really thinks of them I just don't know. I don't self harm and never feel the need to, but that doesn't give me the right to make nasty jokes about people that do. I can still sympathise.
I've just seen a post of his on another thread where he jumps in to talk about taxes and to moan about all the spongers pretending to be sick !
Anyway, I started with a simple question to AB which he couldn't or wouldn't answer. Therefore argy bargy resulted. He has no credibility for me as a therapist.

Nobody's saying people can't recover from depression! *smacks forehead*
The thing is though, that if they recover, then they have been cured. The fact it may happen again, doesn't mean that they are always going to have depression lurking in their system. They may or may not have further episodes in the future, but that particular episode has been treated, and come to an end.
It's like any other illness, where you seek whatever form of treatment. The illness goes so you have been cured. It may affect you again at a later date, but that episode has been treated, you're better, you've been cured. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. I said there was no cure, which isn't incorrect. Or perhaps these two recognised websites have just got it all wrong?

http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Depression/Pages/Treatment.aspx
You can manage it though and learn how to deal with it so that it doesn't reoccur. Some people would perhaps consider that they are cured because they have done this and their depression hasn't yet returned. It may return and it may not but it doesn't mean you are "cured". You perhaps see the meaning of a "cure" in a different way to me and willa, vik6525, so theres no point arguing about it really.
You get rid of it and it doesnt reoccur but you are not cured. What do you mean by cured then.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
You're on a public forum and therefore your immature posts interupt a good thread.
You mentioned my name, I responded. That's it. If you want to play at making it into something bigger feel free.
If you have a personal grudge against another poster, take it to pm, rather than it interfering with everyone else reading the thread. Your comments were childish.
It tells me that abuse don't always read the posts as some that are deleted are in no way offensive. A whole thread was deleted the other day because of your antics. What does that tell you?
It tells me that more than one person reported the thread, I was one of them.0 -

Care to elaborate why the thread was a problem?Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -

I figured more than one person reported the thread, but not just because they disagreed with absolutebounder. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

What a surprise. No one gets born with depression. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
