  • Same here. I took some time out last time due to the fact that the forum threads just weren't happy reading anymore. Was pleased to see it had all calmed down a little, and therefore returned to posting, I tend to keep to the fashion / ebay threads myself, but like to dip in and out of anything that takes my interest, as I am aware a lot of others will have different interests and therefore different boards to frequent.

I can't quite understand the logic of anyone adding to a thread they disapprove of just to make some derogatory comments about those who do enjoy the thread in question. Why not just leave the ones which don't interest you alone?? Ho hum, each to their own.

It is a pretty sad affair when people are not allowed to voice disaproval about something. It seems the fashion people are only here for ego massaging purposes. This all seems to have started with Donkey rightly saying some jeans look horrible. What is wrong with voicing an opinion like that?
red devil seems just to be a troll picking on people she thinks she is superior to and following them around the threads.

    I faced the raging ruins
    Of a million sleepless nights

Like I said, each to their own, I can't imagine I would join a thread just to slag it off, but whatever makes soemone feel better about themselves..

Although I would point out that never have I suggested they would not be allowed to..Just that in my opinion, it seems like a waste of time for all concerned.

I dont think I would be likely to join a thread to slag it off either but also Donkey didnt slag it off with her initial post. I admit she referred to it as stupid later on but I have to admit that as I sit and lurk on this board it is with increasing dismay at the banality of some of the fashion threads.
As you say each to their own but it is beyond me why a SAHM would want cloths advice when no one will see her, or why someone would be asking what colour cardie to buy, just the same as asking whether people wear jeans. I cant imagine why anyone would want to tell everyone what they are wearing all the time either but I dont post on those threads I just read them and think what a sad jeremy kyle type of world they must live in.
Red devil may feel better after a bit of trolling to make herself feel better but really this has been blown out of all proportion. I actually agree with donkey on both counts. 1) Jeans can look horrible and I say that wearing a pair of nice ones. 2) the thread was stupid but I would not myself go on the thread and say that since there are so many others to choose from.

    I found it:o

    Thank you

I have posted in a thread about the problem with my mother, so don't want to repeat it here and it keeps this thread open for more positive replies.

    My twopence worth on fashion

They sell things people don't wear in the street at highly inflated prices. If they do have something normal and affordable, they sell out.

Also, sizing sucks, I am an in-between size and shapely, so have to adjust clothes
