Have u tried prying a pg lady away from Chocolate? Imagine trying to take a bone from a dog :rotfl:

I don't drink Coffee or Tea but still drink at least one can of Coke Zero a day and as for chocolate - well, if I fancy it I'll eat it!!

Things in moderation are OK - there are things she will need to cut out like liver, pate, raw eggs etc. But these are the minging things no-one eats anyone!!

    Hey i love Pate! :rotfl:

Good list of what not to eat at the baby centre :)

Personally I think everything in moderation to be honest... :) (well maybe apart from the raw eggs... lol)

Right I'd say do the following
    • Sign up to babybentre.co.uk (both of you) they send weekly emails of what is happening/what your OH may be experiencing in the next few weeks etc
    • visit the NHS pregnancy site NHS Pregnancy Home there is a general guide of what will happen when with regards to antne-natal care
    • check this site for what benefits happen when and if ur entitled Expecting or bringing up children : Directgov
    • Lastly call the GP's as tell receptionist your OH has had a BFP and they will book her in with someone (either GP, MW or practice Nurse depending on how they work it at ur practice)
    • have a nice cup of tea while you fry your brain reading all the information!:D

Sami - seen this BFP mentioned before, what does it mean? Loads of other abbreviations around, too, have I missed something? I lead a very sheltered life! :rotfl:

Hope it all works out OK for you & DH, haven't posted a lot last few days - DS teenage around a lot & still doesn't know about new bean, so didn't dare come on here!

Hello to all new parents-to-be, hugs, kisses, etc., to those whose little beans have sadly gone - hope you'll be back with us when it's time.

Quite right! I had fried egg sandwiches for lunch yesterday, nice yolks in lovely, local free-range eggs!!:rotfl:Than had a peanut butter sarnie for my supper. DH hates eggs, so I had to wait until he went back to work after lunch, & he's not a big fan of pb either. I even had a few mouthfuls of his beer when it was nice at the weekend! Actually, that sounds like a bit more than moderation - better be salad for tea, I think! :D

Thanks Glam! Mine wasn't one of those - had to do it several times over a week, as result was very vague. Might have got a duff set of tests or summat, tho. :D

Glam, I would not eat my eggs any other way!

Right, our surestart grant went in today so my mission is to find decent washable nappies... At a decent price...

And we popped into our local independant baby shop yesterday and hubby went all gooey eyed over this buggy... http://www.kiddisave.co.uk/do/product/dazzle-silver-cross-2008.html
I do like the funky handles... And it's lightweight and has a 1 hand fold and self closing mechanism... But I told him we'll wait until baby is here and we'll go and have a proper play with them all before we commit... And with any luck might get a bit of a contribution from my Mum... Although she's cheap so she probably wouldn't like the pricetag...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

feelie, AM and anyone else in need of them: labour vibes coming your way!

Have got a midwife appointment later, so hopefully get to hear beanies heartbeat again!

My lovely neighbour  just told me how I still don't look very pregnant, how she had her baby at 28 weeks (what I am now) and how I probably don't look pregnant because I was sooooo "big boned" to begin with! She than went on and on about how she had a 21" waist before she got pregnant. Feel slightly depressed now, but she has said far worse things in the past and she means no harm really, she just doesn't think before she speaks.
