Trying to build up some motivation..so far today I have put washing out, put a load on, put on tonights dinner in the slow cooker, painted 3 walls, spent lots of time on here and updated my spotify play list:D. Now to go get some lunch, get a shower, bring washing in, go shopping and go pick OH up from the train station as he has been off on a training course today.

lol.. people keep telling me that my bump is huuuuge for my dates, and I look like i am expecting twins. I have to keep telling them that I was fat before I got pregnant, so I have a bump which is padded out by my extra layers. but find it scary that EVERYONE says bump is huge... hurumph. If I find the cable to link camera to PC I will load up a bump pic.DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Don't over do it, Tickle penny!
Hi guys,
Been mega busy ofr a few days and haven't had time to post or see what you've all been up to.
We've started to think about cots and the MIL has said she will buy one for us with mattress and sheets and we're just trying to weigh up the pros an dcons of getting a junior bed rather than a cot. Does anyone have one/would never get one again?
So far JBs seem slightly longer, but the babe stays in for longer. However, surely you need to buy a normal-sized single at some point anyway, sooner if baby 2 comes along.
Anyone got any helpful advice?
Thanks honeybunnies.

Just returned from my dating scan, which I managed to make it too without any nasty puking. It was amazing/special/wierd all at the same time and we were both astounded we could see a real facial profile including distinctive nose (like dad!).
The only downer is that I've been told I have a cyst they need to monitor though but they won't review it again until 19 weeks (thats another 8 weeks). I'm amazed they don't want to review it more regular. Anyone else had experience of this?
Baby is fine, running away from the sonographer which was funny to watch.
Note to self and any newbies: don't need to drink so much water as I was fit to burst!
Good news is that I've gained 5 days as scan puts me at 11 weeks exacltly, so closer to getting away from terrible nausea and vomit scenes.

Have got a midwife appointment later, so hopefully get to hear beanies heartbeat again!
My lovely neighbour  just told me how I still don't look very pregnant, how she had her baby at 28 weeks (what I am now) and how I probably don't look pregnant because I was sooooo "big boned" to begin with! She than went on and on about how she had a 21" waist before she got pregnant. Feel slightly depressed now, but she has said far worse things in the past and she means no harm really, she just doesn't think before she speaks.
I know some people who talk/behave like this, they just don't have any idea what affect they can have and most don't mean it and are just filling the airspace with waffle! Take no notice, any div can have an opinion to share! :rolleyes:0 -
Sorry bear, do you mean a cotbed for this baby or a junior bed for a child you already own?
Aimee had a cotbed and I took the bars off just before she was 2, she slept in it up until November last year when we bought her a high sleeper single bed... Partly because she was running out of space and also because this baby will be sleeping in her cot and we didn't want to go straight from her to the baby...
She also has a junior bed at my Mums and still sleeps in it fine... She's 5 now.. No real need to replace it for a single just yet either...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I had a cyst too at my 6 week scan (long story LOL) but there was no sign of it at my 12 week or 20 scans apparently - so I think if they were really worried they'd monitor it moreThey didn't feel the need to monitor mine specially either though so try not to worry too much

Sorry, I menat a cot that you can take the sides off and use as a bed for a couple of years afterwards. I see from your reply that you've had to move your daughter out to make way for the next one, which is my point, is there any point having a cot that turns into a bed if the next baby we may have will need it?
Sorry, hope I'm making myself clear0
