Right I'm gonna go start munching pineapple I think... probably too early for it to have ANY effect but I figure if I start early with all the stuff for starting labour maybe it'll accumulate and she'll pop out on time or a week early? ;) I can hope right? hehehe

    Morning all :)

Managed to have dinner and watch 24 yesterday, before trying to get some sleep. Pain was pretty bad, so phoned CDU at 1am. Spoke to nice midwife, who asked me what I wanted to do. My reply - "Lie on the floor and cry". She advised taking paracetamol and calling them later. Pain was less intense while trying to sleep, more constant. Very upset stomach, so phoned at 5am to check that was alright. Different Midwife who said its probably early labour, but it might fizzle out. Got consultant appointment at 2:30pm, MW thinks that they'll do an internal to check what is going on. Only just out of bed, waiting to see what pain is like today.

Its a very weird pain that makes me very emotional - when its bad I end up clinging on to OH and crying. Very silly!

Ooooooo good luck feelie...sounds like things could be happening for you. Sending you labour vibes a plenty ;);)

  • labour vibes Feelie - does sound like early labour pains x x x

I am hoping the long walk to antenatal and back might kick start something as it is quite a long walk. Would really love bubs to make appearance before the weekend.

Actually heard from my mum yesterday. She asked if we would like to go down the caravan for the day on Saturday!! I just said that we didnt want to travel so far from hospital when bubs could arrive anytime now. She is going down there from tomorrow night until Monday night so will be of no use if I go into labour over the weekend.

OHs mum doesnt find out her shifts until today and is going to text to let us know - however she did say if she was at work when I went into labour she should be able to get away.

I just want the bubs to arrive so I can stop all this worrying!!

    oohh Feelie!!!!!!!!!
I'm getting excited :o I know my labour was rather accelerated but after my waters went I got irregular contractions (MW told be that was my cervix effacing??) then came the dia-woo-woo more contractions then the vomming then more contractions then pushing :D
I have my fingers firmly crossed that this is it and thing will go smoothly :D (and how convenient if he does appear just before a nice long bank hol!! Clever boy!)

    I'm frightened :o

Was the dia-woo-woo really bad? Is that normal?

Hurry up 2:30pm! Can't believe I'm actually counting down the minutes till someone sticks a hand up me!

OH has gone to work, so things can't happen too fast - takes him at least an hour to get home.

Feelie - just keep reminding yourself that its a different kind of pain, that will be gone as soon as baby is here.

Its definately worth it in the end!!

I always think i'd rather go through labour again, than have toothache! As least theres an end in sight with labour, and a lovely present at the end! IYKWIM

Awwwww, you'll be fine...try not to worry too much about it. Not long to wait until you have your appointment and you'll find out what is happening...

I know what you mean about your other half and his being at work. Mine has a commute of 1 1/2 hours down the A1 on a GOOD day :eek:

Take care and keep us updated...
