When did you open your account with vanquis?

I dont think you get any choice in the matter short of closing your account.Once you hit a certain credit limit, either £1500 or £2000 the card is automatically sent out.

OK - so get my Vanquis card mid Feb and put a months worth of petrol on it. Fast forward to last Friday and thought I had better phone and ask when my statement is due. I was advised that it was due on 18 March by the very helpful gent on the phone. "OK - thanks said I - when is my payment due because I don't want to pay interest and our post is erratic at best?"

"Oh said the gent" - "Your payment is due now!" "What" says I. "I'll pay now!"

OK no harm done and payment has been made but am I missing something here? Does every Vanquis customer pay interest on the first statement?
