They WILL give you absolute lies and tripe to get you off the phone, but stand solid, keep repeating over and over "I've seen what you advertise and I've fulfilled your requirements to the letter but YOU have FAILED to deliver. Eighth statement with me still no increase despite exemplary account conduct. I've had a complaint outstanding with them about it for 5+ weeks chased it up yesterday still not an answer.

We need EVERYONE that this has happened to to take their complaints to the bitter end so that Vanquis get the message. Good luck! Fight the power!

I was under the impression from their advert that after the 4th statement my limit would increase, I keep up to date with the other 6 accounts on my credit file the only negative being numerous credit searches which will drop off in time.

I rang them up and complained the customer advisor referred me to their complaints who are ringing me back? I will have a go see what can happen!. Which agency do they use for limit increases? experian?

They use Insight and CAIS (Equifax & Experian) - i.e. they get a data feed each month and this may show you have a lot of searches thus they are waiting a bit.

The recent credit applications you made too V2finance etc etc will not help your cause;)

Well just done that waste of money experian credit score & mine was poor 76 i got!, I know they use different score cards.

My problem is the searches I have 48 this year and 28 within last three months on experian and 16 on equifax(mate says goes after 6mths)

I guess wait till they drop off in a years time!, if I move address next september get on the voters at new address would I be ok to reapply for a credit card in January 2011? would I stand more chance or do I apply just before I move in early Sept? as it will be more than six months with no searches.

Being fair I only applied to them as they use callcredit I had zero searches on there.

End of the day it would be nice for an increase, but if they don't I shall just keep paying it month by month until 3-4 years have gone past that is the main thing lenders look at me and think mmmmm account open less than one year & say no.

My accounts are all up to date and the mobile contract is closed. Got this cashplus hopefully that will increase my score a bit after 12mths, & NO MORE PRESSING APPLY! lol

Can you advise what company you went to, for the credit with V2? Will help others....

I went through Laptops Direct and have just checked all three agencies only callcredit searched, not even unrecorded searches on the others.

I don't know if they use National Hunter etc?

When i applied last year they used clode finance and my Experian file was searched......

Ahh so they change between clode and v2 then do they? i.e. one day you may get clode and v2 the next or do you think v2 is the new provider?

Am confused with all this v2/clode carry on lol - who uses what and who searches who, if you get my point! :rotfl:
