I went through Laptops Direct and have just checked all three agencies only callcredit searched, not even unrecorded searches on the others.

I don't know if they use National Hunter etc?

Mate National Hunter is built into Experian so if they used it i'd be gobsmacked :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks for info though appreciate it. :p

Yup, my OH's APR was increased from 59.9APR (47%) to 69.9APR (54%) when they increased his limit to £2,000

Got my card today.. So judging by what you say above my APR is 59.9% then? As at the top it says 'Your annual purchase interest rate is 47.892%'

I definately won't be keeping a balance on this that's for sure!

Ahh so they change between clode and v2 then do they? i.e. one day you may get clode and v2 the next or do you think v2 is the new provider?

Am confused with all this v2/clode carry on lol - who uses what and who searches who, if you get my point! :rotfl:

I think it may be the details you supply on your application form that influences the choice of which CRA agency is used.

To my knowledge they don't offer finance directly they use two finance houses Clode and Hitachi Capital finance.

When you applied, do they ring you to decline or is it all automated via email etc? ;)

If I ask for a limit decrease I wonder if I'll get charged lower APR? :rotfl:

:rotfl:I was also one who complained about the interest rate hike - no 30 day written notification which breaches OFT guidelines. I wrote a formal letter of complaint and have actually had a written acknowledgement. Will post when I get a full reply.

Looking forward to hearing what they have to say about that.

    Yes your APR is 59.9%.

Here's how to convert simple interest to APR:

    47.892/12 = 3.991% PCM

    (((1.03991 ^ 12)-1)*100)=59.937 (Your APR)

Yet my APR is 34% - none of that added on it, simple as that! 34% apr. Dunno what any of that above means either, but I doubt they can state your apr as one and charge another, this is illegal.
