Only got Sky Sports, Setanta & MUTV for the footie? Cancel for the summer to save ££s

silly question ..sorry...i have sky sports,surf & talk basic package ...but i never use my phone so what is skys freephone (well to talk subscribers) number to call them to downgrade my package !!

I'm so fed up - was on hold for 2 hours today to Sky, in the end my cordless phone ran out of battery so it cut off. And just spent another 30 mins on hold and then it just went dead. BOOOOO HISS!

Do you know if they pick up the calls from people calling the 0844 number before the people calling via the local number?

I actually really do want to remove Sky Sports and have no intention of re-adding it, just need to try to save some money here and there and thought this was a good place to start.... if I ever get through to them!

I just phoned to cancel sports - guy asked me why, I said I can't afford it (which is true, although I do still want to keep it for the footie!), so he said it is a purely financial decision and didn't offer me anything.

He said to phone back just before my next payment comes out as I have just paid up to 24 July, but if I cancel it now they will stop it and I will not get a refund.

Bit disappointed to be honest, but mayeb when I phone back in a few weeks they will offer me something.

What is the deal with the footie on ESPN next year? May be worthwhile getting that instead?
