hi Lizzy,
you have a PM
I went to a local lady. I went to a beauty salon open evening and she gave a demonstration of botox. I have to say she was not the best advert for it !! a bit addicted I would say. But other customers of hers were having it done there and then.
I nervously booked an appointment and went to her house where she had rooms etc. It was £220 for three areas, I did have to go for a top up but was pleased with the results. She explained that she had worked for Surgicare Manchester (Northenden) and other places. She is a qualified doctor. I had to go for a top up but it had been a while since I had been. Good all round result I would say and of course little traveling so a lot cheaper for me. I was paying £310 for 3 areas and a lot of traveling. I'm pleased because as she gets to know me and my face I think things will get even better. A lovely lady too0 -

Not true. Botulinum toxin is not "dispersed" it is deposited in the liver and possibly brain, nervous system. Research is ongoing as to it's possible metabolism, no one knows what the long term effects of continuously injecting a toxin into your body might be . There are risks from overdose as this is a deadly poison.
It has legitimate medical uses where a risk benefit ratio may make it worthwhile using but there is no longterm research to show it is risk free for the regular usage decreed for cosmetic purposes. No medicine is risk or side effect free and Botox is a medicine.
Well Cliff Richard as been having botox done for years around 30.... and he looks really well and is healthy not much wrong with his brain .... :A0 -
Any recommendations for Birmingham/solihull area.0

It seems to me that the more sessions booked the cheaper each treatment is. My sister had the area around her eyes done last year and the difference was huge. It did start to wear off after about 4 months but results were very obvious. She used Harley Medical. A friend of mine used a small clinic in Reading which was much cheaper (about £80 instead of £150) but results less good. Maybe this is skin type but would rather pay extra and have effect.
I've used Clinic Compare before to compare prices - London seems to cost more than the North0 -

I am getting on very well with her. I go to her home so it really all depends where you live ? I have had my 2nd treatment with her and it was better than the 1st. No top up required this time and that is unusual.
I am glad I started doing it and will continue but there might be a point when I can't afford it or that it is not enough. My friend pointed out this woman on tv and her face looked much younger than her neck so that got me thinking. I guess there is a point when you have to go for the lift !
Botox certainly does what it says on the tin......fab0 -
